Like you said, burleying is amateurs and also there is a saying, first come first serve... I use to fish in that area and it's everybodies spot.
You are a clown using burley is far from being a amateur fisherman and fishing inside the bay well that says it all.

Reels from 1000 to 3000. Rods 2 to 6lb up to 12lb. Leaders from 8lb up to 20lb
What tackle do you use for salmon? For what do you use a 2lb rod?

Looks like a good spot! Is it okay to fish there because my boating map shows it as a restricted zone
Never failed spot 😂. I ve only been told off once in years fishing there. Caught 50+cm snapper there once before. Meter jews and heaps more.

To be fair… it was pretty windy and thats the only hiding spot. Can’t blame them its just the anchoring that drove the fish off 😤

ANYTHING we have lol but mostly just bread and breadcrumbs with chopped up pillies.
