As someone who works for a tier 2 auto parts distributor. Tesla doesn't have a parts department nor do they distribute any parts. They make more money on the sale of a car than any of the Big 3 who do make their money on parts and service. Tesla's most profitable segment is it's supercharger network, not anything involving parts and service.
