I've dabbled in a variety of decks, old and new over the years, from Synchron, to T.G., to Neos Yubel, to Blue-Eyes, to Tachyon, to Speedroid, to Photon Galaxy, to Windwitch, to Lyrilusc post nerf, to Synchro Magician, to Pure Fleur, to Darkfluid, among others I probably missed, and I can tell you firsthand playing both the TCG AND Master Duel since MR5 first dropped, these are GOING TO BE A PROBLEM! You say Invoked needs Light to get to Mechaba. Need I remind you they can just Link off Aleister to Artemis and there's your Light for free? And that's not even counting all the other plays on top of that. Like, do you REALLY wanna deal with Winda on top of Mechaba, or Fleurdelis/Punishment on top of Mechaba? No, I highly doubt it. And in a 20 Card Deck, there's a high chance negating the Aleister is a bait and that they have Invocation anyway, so what good does that do? Trihard-Brigade is literally able to abuse ANYTHING of Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast to make all of its stuff. They dominated for years for a reason, and had to get hit in all formats for a reason. Lyrilusc Tri-Brigade, Lunalight Tri-Brigade, Harpie Tri-Brigade, Blackwing Tri-Brigade, and in TCG/MD Zoodiac Tri-Brigade, and that's just naming a few. Engine archetypes in general ruined Yu-Gi-Oh as they literally abused so many different things at once because they were just allowed to. Prime example of how engines ruin the game, Revolution des Fleurs. Because the main deck has zero real restrictions, no one ever uses the proper cards for Sherry. It's always an engine for shit like Dogmatika, Nekroz, Infernoble, Ancient Warrior, Invoked, Sunavalon, Zombie World, Orcust, you name it. Point is engines in any way ruin the point of deck building because the end goal in the case of say, running Tri-Brigade is no longer to end on the other stuff you throw in the deck. It's all fodder for the Links now. Or say Odd-Eyes Orcust for its time, Raging Pendulum was just there for an Orcust end board even though Odd-Eyes back then had Doomrider and Dweller, or Doomrider and Nightmare, or Doomrider and Clear Wing, with other backup plays like Trishula Zero. Orcust was an actual engine and it was a mistake for the same reason too. Mechaba is going to turn Invoked into more of an engine than it already was, including Invoked Dogmatika Shaddoll as mentioned, and I don't need to explain Trihard-Brigade any further. I speak from firsthand experience for years, so no, I'm not trolling, I am actually serious. There is no justification for bringing these over to Duel Links.

@ the takeaway I got from here is that you despise engines, and are very passionate about this. I really think this is a crazy take, for a few reasons why engines need to happen. Engines only allow the meta to diversify and try to use cards that many have discarded in order to bring life to the game. If you are going to tell me that Invoked Mechaba and Tri-Brigade are worse than any other meta threat. We have known about all of these cards for years now. Did you just think duel links would omit some of the most iconic series of cards from its very popular lore series? I think you are just scared of change I have been on again and off again DL player since launch, same goes for MD, and engines have never pissed me off. If you are gonna boycott natural game additions, you’re gonna just delete the game when Kashitra hit DL. Every deck you mention with Tri-Brigade are yearning for something to complete them. I like that some lesser-powered characters are getting some good stuff. The line you describe to get Mechaba isn’t really much of an issue with like stuff like Karma Cut or literally any card with potential GY disruption. All this is doing is the natural progression of the game: making one staple better than the other. You play MD and still dislike engines? That is the closest official software to play the meta. If you hadn’t noticed: the more modern cards we get, the more engines are going to be in a lot more decks. I think it would be boring if engines weren’t here This is the most “ostrich with its head in the sand” thing I’ve seen other than a lobby in EDOPRO telling users to not use anything besides Jerry Beans Man and Gift of greed. Let the modern game-state progress. If the idea of decks like this fear you, go play Vanguard where its illegal when you play outside of your main strategy, even though are still formats where minor exceptions are made.

@edge8066 All engines do isn't encouraging creativity, it instead does the exact opposite and homogenizes deck building. While theoretically it can lead to balance, it at the same time does the opposite. Using Tri-Brigade as the example, no matter what you throw it with, it's still Tri-Brigade with a different coat of paint. Even if you say, throw in Lunalight or Blackwing, can you really call it Lunalight or Blackwing? No. It's still Tri-Brigade at the end of the day. Engine archetypes in general don't cause the creativity everyone says they do, instead leading to the exact opposite effects and removing that core aspect of deck building, by homogenizing the end goal. And that's simply unhealthy game design no matter how you look at it.

@@SonicSmashBro one of your decks you listed was Darkfluid. Like, cyberse slop is fine but any other slop isn’t. Aside from that… Decks have always been generic engine slop. Since the conception of the game. You had old-school players play half the same cards to do the same things.Hero engines were things, Fire + Ice hand, Darkwurm line, i could go on. Engines have been made to help the game go fast, and that isn’t just for yu-gi-oh. Magic has engines, Pokemon has engines, and no one complains, but this is the thing that boils your goose? I just think you are making a drastic move on something that won’t matter the second things if you’re right, the problems become apparent, and Konami would limit/ban cards accordingly. This is fair-weather playing, which is actually something that is frowned upon in any competitive sense. You need to learn to accept this change, and to go forward with it. This is just the start. Get all your DL fun in before everyone runs horus, tear, kash, and whatever else if this style really upsets you. That, or just splash in Tri-Brigade into your Lyrilusc and stop complaining.

@@edge8066 You're right that they probably will hit things to try and separate them if it gets out of hand. Oh and we actually can't play Tri-Brigade in Lyrilusc if we use Bird Humming, we're locked to the birds. We'll see what the hits are on release, and if I'm wrong I will eat my words and probably my shoes because I would be shocked if they made preemptive hits that actually keep them in line.

@@TheKhairulredzuan Until you realize that it legitimately ruined the source game. Mechaba turned Invoked into, just slap Mechaba into anything, and it will work. Tri-Brigade or as I call it Trihard-Brigade are literally engine archetype incarnate. No one is happy that these are coming. In fact I know plenty of people that are moving to Rush because NO ONE wants to deal with Invoked Dogmatika Shaddoll or Trihard-Brigade abusing so many other things, including but not limited to Lunalight, Harpie, Lyrilusc, Gladiator Beast, and Blackwing.

@@SonicSmashBro Lyrilusc Tri-Brigade is the only one among those that was actually a thing in the TCG/OCG. But also, are you really going to play basically no non-engine at all so you can fit in Tri-Brigade on top of what those decks normally do too? Not to mention, Duel Links doesn't have the Link-3 Simorgh, which was a big part of the Lyrilusc Tri-Brigade combo in the first place. Theres a reason why pure Tri-Brigade was better than any of the other Tri-Brigade variants that existed at its heyday, being able to use a compact engine, and buff out the rest with non-engine to help if you have to go 2nd is way better than playing a big combo that has to open pretty well in order to handle being interrupted.

@@Shrouded_in_Mystery They're going to have to if they want Speed to come out with minimal damage. I genuinely prefer Speed to Rush but this is honestly the last straw. Was talking with some of my squad about this, and it is agreed no one wants to deal with this. It's sad that I can say by comparison, Rainbow Neos will be nothing. So for now, Speed is going on the back burner. And people wonder why I asked for Junk Speeder.

@@nacholibre134 Most of Yugi's stuff honestly sucks but we'll run down what all he got too. Yugi: Crucial DM support (Circle especially), Buster Blader support, BLS Rituals and Envoy among general support for it, Gaia support, and Skills to cheese some of those out for free. Jaden: HERO, Neos, and Yubel support with Skills to cheese them out, including Neos Kluger and the upcoming Rainbow Neos and Armed Neos. Yusei: Stardust line, Tech Genus EXpansion, pretty good Synchron support in Wheel Synchron, but outdated and honestly bad Skills by today's standards, and still missing a lot of its better support even outside of Speeder. Yuma: Ultimate Leo Utopia Ray and a Skill to make getting it easier despite being meant to be for Utopia Ray V. Enough said. Yuya: Classic Pendulum support, Odd-Eyes Raging with a Skill to cheese it out easier, and now Odd-Eyes Wing with a once per turn Skill that can also give his ace monster for free, and let Odd-Eyes Wing attack twice. Yusaku: Multiple forms of Cyberse support and great Skills to go with it, including potential to make a Turn 1 Untargetable 4 Counter Darkfluid. Yuga (Bonus): Great Spellcaster/Sevens Road support, two of his three Maximums, Magnum Overlord in particular causing robbery, Ace Breaker, and Mirror Innovator, with multiple good to great Skills depending on the build. Yudias (Bonus): Really good Galactica support that is searchable with an amazing Skill while giving access to piercing damage and battle position manipulation.

@@SonicSmashBro See most people wouldn't even believe the statement that Yusei is on the bottom rung when it comes to Konami support in DL but when you see it all laid out like you've just done its pretty much impossible to deny. Its not even just limited to the skills either but also look at the structure deck's he's received, Synchro Connection is quite honestly a joke, and Stardust Nexus is just barely passable at best (only being useful to get UR cards already released years prior), and those are the only two he's gotten so far.

@@kennyfrancois9328 That's overkill. The thing to keep in mind as well though is that would mean Metarion can still play Negate Attack and that's the card that causes other Limit 2s to exist, so seeing how much Metarion performed as well as it did, they'll probably go this route instead

@@SonicSmashBro the deck has Linkslayer and is capable of a same turn follow up play should something disrupt me. Turn 1: I would hope to end on crystal wing and formula and sometimes a level 1 monster and I’d go for stardust warrior and crystal wing again combo. So if stardust warrior leaves I’d float into jet and get a bounce and in the following turn I’d go for the quasar play. That said you’re probably right. I’m just not sure that’s what this is missing or if there’s some other card or combo that I should consider running to make this better somehow.

How did you summon wheel Synchron?

@@StrongestRed starlight junktion. You’d special summon a tuner via overtake or unknown, jet synchron. Use starlight’s effect to tribute the tuner to special summon wheel synchron from the deck. The field spell helps with fixing your cards that would otherwise not be a good hand, play through disruption, and even if you don’t use it, accel synchro during the opponent’s turn to shuffle something back to deck for additional disruption.

Trishula Zero, good as it is, tends to overly rely on Synchro Chase, so should it get blown up, your options become too limited. Furthermore, to make the most of it, you end up needing base Trishula, which gives up your Limit 1 slot better used on Crystal Wing.
