It's just another Speaker in a enclosure with a tweeter and a crossover and insulation, and there's nothing special about them, and I don't see any more value than any other Speaker, prove me wrong!

I’ve had a pair for a couple years now. I do about 65-70% of the mix on them then switch to NS10s. These are a GAME CHANGER. For anyone wondering. Great company. 📀🎯🙏🏼

paper cones is best for studio monitors.

For the original speaker replacement (to preserve the sonic profile of the Yamaha NS10M's that they are prized for), you need a Yamaha JA-1801 Woofer. They are not very hard to find.

Today I blew one of my NS10m Studio woofers. So I did a search and landed here. Now I like to try this LD-10, but I am in Europe. And I really do not see a reason why I should not trust this mister Dave.

Dave is not tell you or asking you to do anything to your damn speakers! It's an upgrade if you chose to do it. How can you speak for the rest of us that may want to upgrade our NS-10!!?? I happen to be one those people, my NS-10 have been sitting in closet for years. I never really cared for their sound, I did a search and I find this video. The craziest part about to their comments is; I would image if this is a DIY you would still keep the original speaker??? At any given time you can always put them back in???? What an idiot. Anyway, thank for this video, I will be looking into doing the upgrade.

Probably just devalued that NS-10M by 80% right there. There was a purpose for the original drivers.

The Best!

This is a good solution for the user that wants to preserve the midrange presence but eliminate the lack of low end and unbalanced NS-10M nature that makes them such a fatiguing box to listen. I would have loved to have had this before I sold off my NS-10s. With desk real estate at a premium a "vocal only" box wasn't gonna work for me so I have the Genelec 1031s and NS-1000m as primaries.

The purpose of the NS-10 is to hear all the subtitle details in the Mids.. They are not designed for bass response. There is a reason they sound harsh and sterile. Any good Studio engineer knows this. If you want monitors for bass buy monitors that produce bass. like the Presonus Eris E5 or Jbl 308P They will be cheaper and sound better than a pair of butchered NS-10.

Change the woofers and they are not NS-10M anymore.
