Lol, moneyball was bullshit too. Sandy Alderson wasn't mentioned anywhere (he taught beane). Jonah Hills character was fiction (Paul Depodsta was the basis). But the timeline wouldn't work as he joined the team in 1999. Art Howe was painted as a whining buffoon even though he was on board with what Beane was doing in real life, aka needed a villan.

I think the script writer thought if Mike Ditka could swap 1st round picks with Washington and add a 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th round pick plus a 1st rounder and 3rd rounder the next year for Ricky Williams, then any ridiculous scenario is possible. I blame Ditka and the 1999 Saints for this movie.

An incredibly dumb….that most people think is good…this movie was produced with the NFL…yeah..that NFL…script approval…the behind the scenes of what happens for real…on draft day…the NFL worked with the producers…..some really nice acting…and the trades…look a lot like recent trades that took place recently…like Watson in Cleveland…with his sexual past…and Johnny Manziel….the bust….or the quarterback out of Florida State…the Saints quarterback that had as many touchdowns as he did interceptions…so yeah…a dumb movie that people really like…bye…

Many of us long time fans here in Washington still call them Redskins, out of habit as the team has been in the city since 1937. The Commanders name is one of the dumbest names in sports and because it was one the last stains of Dan Snyder left on the team, most of us despise it. The controversy has recently been revived as a new wrinkle has emerged. The iconic Indian head logo, which was the team logo for 47 years from 1972-2020 was actually designed by Walter “Blackie” Wetzel who was a Native American Civil Rights activist and Elected Chief of the Blackfoot Nation out of Montana. As a result the Blackfoot nation wants the team to bring back the iconic Indian head logo, as the design is based off of an important historical Blackfoot chief by the name of Chief 2 Gun White Calf. The Commanders under new ownership of Josh Harris and the NFL are now in this strange awkward situation, where the NFL and Previous ownership has angered a actual Native American tribe that is recognized by the Federal Government, because they ditched the Redskins name and logo in order to combat negative stereotypes and racism towards Native Americans.The Commanders are also, looking for possible new stadium sites and the most popular one is for them to Rebuild RFK Stadium as the old stadium was demolished 1 1/2 years ago. RFK Stadium was built on federally owned land, US Congress is working on a bill to lease the land off to the City Government so they can build a new stadium. It’s a long back story that goes back to the late-1950s, during construction of at the time called Washington Municipal Stadium (Changed to RFK Memorial Stadium in 1969), the city was directly governed by Federal Government appointees and by a committee in the US Congress. US Presidents Eisenhower and Kennedy used the fact that the stadium 🏟️ was being built on land owned by the Federal Government to force both the Washington Redskins 🏈 and Washington Senators ⚾️ to desegregate. It’s one of the many quirks of Washington DC being the Nation’s Capital and DC not being a state. DC residents didn’t get the right to vote until the passage of the 23rd Amendment to US Constitution and the Current Washington DC City Government and the Office of the Mayor of Washington DC was not established until the passage of the 1974 DC Home Rule Act. It’s because of these quirks that through the US Congress you have to pass a bill to allow for the now vacant lot where the old RFK Stadium use to be, to be leased out to the City Government, so that the City Government can sublease it to the Commanders, so they can build a new stadium. There are riders in that leasing bill, which will require the Commanders to have to bring back the Iconic Wetzel Washington Redskins Logo that the team had from 1972-2020. They don’t have to be called the “Redskins” they can bring back the old logo and be called the Washington Warriors, the Washington Tomahawks, the Washington Blackfeet etc, as long as the bring back the old logo and make a prominent fixture on the team. If you are wondering the Bill which has already gone through a committee in the US Senate will allow for Federal Government to lease the RFK site to the Washington DC city Government for 100 years, to build a new stadium on the site.

I mean…if you think the decisions on draft day were bad, the browns literally made worse decisions in the draft that this was modeled after. The one to one comparison is the browns taking Johnny Manziel instead of rolling Hoyer who was coming off a decent (for the browns) stint of games.

Theres a video of former Chargers GM Tom Telesco reviewing this movie, and he said tue birthday party thing would actually be a big deal. Though his biggest complaint, which he made like 8 times, was how empty the whiteboards were.
