I'm a beginner what's a hyser?
Ok so I’m a noob and I’ve always thought that the hyzer/any angle was what I was doing but I never was going nose up or nose down, I’ve been manipulating the sides up or down, left up, left down
So basically speed is speed glide is glide turn is turn fade is fade thank you
Dude nice with the Amadeus by troyboi lol
yall in Alaska? nice back drop.
Great tip. You want to let the disc do the work by throwing less stable discs that will flip up and ride so you can get in that power position. I think that's easier to get some more distance on your drive, but of course there's many other things you have to learn about throwing backhand before trying to throw far. Those massive 600+ feet sky anhyzers are something special to behold but keeping the nose down and getting a hyzerflip seems more practical for people to learn to improve their distance.
I mean...does it work? Lol

Where yall at?
That's one awesome T-shirt! :D
I feel like you were woefully under prepared for this.
Correction: Speed IS how fast the disc can fly. But speed isn't necessarily how FAR it will go. As Glide will affect a disc. I believe that's what was meant, but to say that speed isn't how fast something goes makes no sense in any aspect of physics.
the Corvette is super understable for me but also very accurate and insane glide so only usable for tailwind for me but i can easily get it to 500ft on a hyzer flip to turn over that i throw very high so that it has time to pan out and fight back.. in 25mph tailwind on flat ground xstep i got my Corvette to 600ft!
Thank you for explaining this to people like me who had no clue what the pros meant 😂😂😂
Use yer Googles, guys... Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment, or MOLLE (pronounced /ˈmɒl. liː/ MOL-lee, pronounced like the name Molly), is the current generation of load-bearing equipment and backpacks used by a number of NATO armed forces, especially the British Army and the United States Army.
Watch closely and you'll see a bird literally give its blessing to the shot.

Been playing disc golf super casually for a while but just started getting into it seriously and really wanted to know more about types of throws, types of discs, etc. Stoked to find your channel. Great stuff! Cheers!

Vans and casual shoes are the best for putting imo. They allow your feet and toes to be grounded allowing for touch and feel. But yeah they are slippery on grass. I agree on hiking shoes. They are pretty much the opposite of casual shoes - great traction, but too clunky which hinders feel and touch
I was holding my thunderbird and saw the numbers and figured I had to watch
My favorite thing about overstable discs as a beginner is that they're very predictable in their flight and also pretty forgiving if you mess up your release a little bit. Understable tends to be a bit too much of a wildcard for me.
How about you explain what under stable and over stable means... Lol
Cool thanks for this, very helpful. So for a beginner I am thinking speed 7 or 8, glide -3 or -4, turn -3 or -4 and fade 0 1 or 2 would be best for me to get distance and straight. Do you know of anywhere I can enter those numbers and find a disc made like that? Thanks
Infinitediscs webpage is decent. Just check flight rating in their advanced search and you can enter and sort whatever your preference may be. For a driver I would recommend one of these: Westside Discs - Underworld Latitude 64 - Diamond Innova - It Mid range one of these: Discmania - Origin Latitude 64 - Fuse Axiom Discs - Hex Disccraft - Buzzz Putter: whatever feels good in you hand
Do u have a weight video? Especially for drivers
Thanks! This was as simple as it could be. Thank you for explaining over stable and under stable too
You're kidding, right? That was an issue I had is that they didn't define/explain over and under stable but used the terms a lot.
@@TheFloridaPappy My understanding is the values that they explained correspond with a disc being under or over stable. If you add up the fact that you have a disc with more glide (they said understable=more glide) and and a turn value within -5 - -3 (again stated in the video that those are values that correspond with an understable disc) then you can assume the disc is understable. Then the opposite is true for an overstable disc. In terms of what that means, I'm assuming a disc thrown has a natrual trajectory based on how you threw it. The understable disc having more glide and a negative turn value means it is less likely to cut hard and fall fast. Again the opposite is true for the overstable, with less of a glide and a turn value that has a tendency to curve left (natural trajectory of a right hand back hand) you trust that it is over stable, meaning it will do MORE of what you expect of it's natural trajectory. @RippinDiscs
@@Whyhardable As I was taught and it's been my experience, but I may be wrong. If you throw a level BHFH, an over stable disc tends to go left and an under stable tends to go right. A little less verbose.
@@TheFloridaPappy I wouldn't even use the phrases under stable and over stable to explain how a disc will fly. Both are unstable and people think or under as meaning "below", and over as meaning "above" which further can complicate things. When it comes to TURN, a disc with a higher negative number will go more to the right if you throw right handed, but it will go more to the left if you throw left handed. That's because that's the general direction you are throwing. The same with FADE. The lower the number the more it will go in the general motion you are throwing.
@@Whyhardable Exactly. Discs have a natural trajectory based on how you throw them. Try to throw a disc right handed hard and make it go left to the spot you want is rather difficult. Because right handed players throwing backhand are motioning their hand/arm to the right. Hence that's where the disc is going, and a less positive number means it will tend to turn more right.
