Cruel Folk are a duo from Darkest Norfolk. We like the kind of English folksong that tells stories. Usually stories involving war, death, betrayal, love gone wrong, and bunnies. (We're lying about the bunnies.)

The English tradition has plenty of this stuff, but we like it enough to write our own, so we mostly produce original material, with the occasional cover thrown in.

We've played Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk Festival, FolkEast, Wimbourne, Rhythms of the World, Two Rivers and many others, as well as more Folk Clubs than we can remember.
