Fall Protection - Attic Anchor /Truss Anchor | Joey Krys Fall Safety Training
Lol horrible video. You totally forgot about the foam and the chin strap. Real workers use it and we arent robots. We sweat and after awhile like everything else its dirty and want to clean it. 0 out of 10 this video wasted my time.
Thanks for absolutely no information about the performance of the helmet.
What about the sweat that dries inside the actual helmet ?
Great video! Thank you
well done
I as well brother 👍
Appreciate it very much brother 👍
Thank you Joey- truly appreciate your videos.
What good is it if you can't wear it in the rain? Do they even make class E helmets? Why isn't this basic information included in this music video?
It’s not the d-ring extender that the problem. It’s the darn lanyard absorption pack. The retractable cable is supposed to be cut resistant then you add nylon that can be cut like butter. Why would a company build a flaw into a product? With out use of a D ring extender it is darn near impossible to attach air remove the retractable attachment without loosening your harness if the dorsal ring is worn in its proper location.
So that is what Billy Boondocks meant when he said he'll let the beam glide, nevermind inside joke.
Garbage! These don’t work for us welders!
These helmets have no suspension like a typical hard hat. If you bump your head or something is dropped on your head, the impact transfers directly to your neck. There is also no air flow as it is solid (HARD) styrofoam inside and is very hot in the summer. The air vents you see on the sides are blocked by hard styrofoam. When taking the helmet off, the chin strap often takes your safety glasses with it and they fall on the ground or floor. There is very little sun protection for your face and ears unless you buy additional expensive accessories. They are also quite expensive by themselves. Construction workers do not like these products from a standpoint of safety and comfort. While it may be good for confined spaces, in most settings it is a poor choice for head, neck, heat, and sun protection. Less importantly, most construction workers also don't want to look like a bunch of cyclists and rock climbers.
Almost wanted to purchase this but saw your message on this and was really concerned therefore did not purchase any and just stuck to the typical MSA V gard helmet instead. Not sure if Petzl Vertex Vent is a better alternative. Heard that product has been around for more than 5 years already.
@Song Ji Hyo I'm not sure. All I know is that I'm still forced to wear this Kask helmet and no one I work with is a fan of them. With no breathing room you sweat like crazy this time of year, and it's such a tight fit you can barely fit it over a bandana. In the winter, there is no room whatsoever for an average beanie/toboggan.
@@oceanwaves83 that’s really sad to hear for such an expensive product.
@@oceanwaves83 Forced? Are you in jail or what? Just buy a helmet that you want and that meets the minimum safety requirements.
@orezculapte007 ... it's called company policy Einstein. A mandate. As in, mandatory. It's wear the Kask helmet or you're terminated.
Total trash
Wear one every day and hate it.
They're honestly a terrible product
Useless
Hate these helmets work in fireproofing these cant be cleaned with a rag. the foam gets soaked and rain gets in the helmets cause of the vents. But what ever deal yous made with a few g.c.'s in nyc im stuck with a shity helmet
Zero sun protection ultimate fail! All that other extra shit us useless.
Mounts not included uggg
What do you think about adding some features in safety harness and what are those?
Can you replace the chin strap ?
Do you know how yo remove the pads?
Hilarious but frightening! 🤣😳
🤣🤣🤣
I’ve been using this for work for about 2 years and can’t clean the foam and it reeks how do you remove the chin strap?
Does it comes with sizes
Seems like a product that's not easily cleanable, once it get to a point the Styrofoam smells, it's a throwaway item... I've cleaned and changed the inside of my traditional hard hat for years without a problem. I'm having a problem adequately cleaning my kask.
Very well said sir!
I've had mine for 2yrs now and it has accumulated sweat and dirt around the sweat band and the styrofoam looking material inside the helmet
Really doesn’t explain anything
Ha! You are the G.O.A.T. Of fall protection. Keep them coming. Still working with our safety and design teams on developing a really good fall protection program for our business.
Love your content!
Awesome video. Keep up the great work. I am beginning to bring back the issue of fall protection with my company and May reach out to you in the near future.
Nice job Joe!
I supposed SRLS are not recommended for aerial lifts unless they are designed for horizontal application. Is that true? Also SRLs are always recommended for overhead locations unless otherwise approve by the manufacturer? Correct?
Can you use two 6 foot lanyards when you don't have a Y lanyard?
No. The is the potential that you would have two energy absorbers connected during a fall increasing the arrest rate to double.
No, while Mark is correct that falling on two energy absorbers would double the fall impact, the more pressing matter is that having two snap-hooks on one Dee-ring is an incompatible connection leading to an unintended disconnection.
I'm a geek whose fearful of my craws space attic. I wish I had a built-in attic ladder, and this product. But, why DON'T they have horizontal lifelines for attics?? It would be perfect!
Nice channel
Good stuff. Not a topic you hear about too often.
The failure videos are super helpful. Really helps see what could go wrong. Thanks for your commentary and getting the word out.
Great stuff Joey!
Joey! Make more videos! I have shared your channel link with clients and bookmarked it for myself. Thanks for all you've done, and continue to do, for the industry!
Nice work Joey!
Good Job.
