I can't understand this whole party lifestyle. makes no sense. All day inside a bar without seeing daylight?? why
Marc Johnson is amazing
I feel this… all of it.
“the people at your house always stay up late” “Those people don’t live here bro they’re smokin crack” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
marc seems like a difficult guy. like hes the type to probably argue with you about everything.
My favorite skater when I lived for skateboarding. Ten years later with adult eyes, I see a lot of turbulence in him. I wonder what I'll see in ten more years.
I mean these videos are super old now but I didn't get that vibe at all. In fact his Nine Club appearance is one of my fav guest interviews because he's the opposite of what you described and seems like a genuinely good guy who came to Cali as a teenager w <$100 and made it big. At the time of this filming he could've still been fighting the alcohol demon 👿
r.i.p. Gabriel you are tremendously missed.
fkn love Guy! .. must have watched your part in mouse 1000x you had that style everyone wanted. then to see you make a comeback in fully flared, i think i actually shed a tear how good you still were. blessings to you and the fam.
2:02 I love you Andrew, but... Yes it *IS* cool. LoL
0:51 that's Venice Beach in THPS. Show the Muska Gap!!! 😂
Fabian Alomar!! I think he was still in prison at the time Guy's episode was filmed. Would've loved to hear him talk about Guy. He showed so much appreciation for him in the Menace episode when he talks about getting out of prison and Guy was one of the 1st ppl to connect with him and get him back on a board so he could heal and work his way back into society.
🛹
Big Bear is a common used area for boxing or mma camps
Someone should Wally up and grind this rail...... fast forward to pretty sweet
Mark Gonzales called money confetti in his 7hrs with Mark video
Bro his part changed my outlook on skating,I didn’t know some of these tricks were possible at the time, and not just that, just the feeling I got when he interacted with Ty you could just tell he was real and out his heart into it, it wasn’t just a video part for him, i remember waiting for this video for soooo long, and then finally, mind blown by him and Mike Mo
🙏🏼🛸 best part of skating history
mj all the way. just, down to earth, humble, creative.
I don't see why Justin Pierce was even tripping off that chick Gina, shes ugly, He could have gotten way better chicks.
Stacey Peralta is a Kook. Skateboarding started in the Streets.
Why the hell did he give THAT much to the part? Like jesus man. I wonder if he still feels the same now.
C'mon guy. Moving 7 hours away for weed and booze? I call bullshit
That Fully Flared part is epic. It’s just perfection. I can watch it days in a row. Cool to watch this to understand the sacrifice.
If only B&C ordered boards with a smaller wheelbase
Ah, I miss breaking the nose and tail of my board after I focused it. Not being sponsored, though, meant I had to be really pissed to focus it on purpose.
It's very true what he says about Maple. They had a good team and all but the company just disappeared one day. Same with Planet Earth.
Lmao and then Marc leaves Jerry on Chocolate
Fuck it, i love Marc Johnson. Beautiful parts=Modus Operandi. So beautiful brings tears to my eyes
Spankys skating reminds me of guys. Probably because of all the wall rides.
Lockwood. With the menace homies.
I grew up watching my dad bomb hills in Los Angeles on penny boards. I always wanted to skate because of him. He was so stoked when I wanted a board and when I’d be bummed on life, he’d just tell me to grab my board and go skate. I’m 36 and he’s still stoked for skateboarding..
I gotta stop watching skate videos 😔 I’m gonna be 37 and I’ve literally blown career opportunities due to injuries because of skating. Greco said it best when he said it’s the greatest curse you can ever have 😭
I remember the enjoi ads were the only ones to actually make me laugh
You gotta love the collection.
Are we really going to act like that crook inward heel out didn’t happen¿
Imagine going through all that filming and missing your kid's birthdays and taxes just to have your part paired with Buffalo Bill's song from Silence of the Lambs.
ahaha holy shit. Great comment. I like that song though, and I think it works well
the skate 3 song
Switch stance is so underappreciated. It's like x2 difficulty if not more.
It depends on what trick you are trying to do, some tricks are actually easier switch like front big spins front shuvs and variel heel flips, now learning to balance and all makes everything twice as hard initially but once you force yourself to do it you find that somethings come easier
Skateboarding is hard period.
LoL, I remember when I got my first pro deck, the only 2 in the size I wanted in the small local shop in the mid 90's was a Toy Machine and an A-Team deck. I went for the Toy Machine one as Marc is right, those graphics were pretty nasty.
was nearly my name. my mother wanted to call me marc after marc bolan, but my dad wouldn't let her. always thought it sucked as I could have had my name on a skateboard, even though I wsn't sponsored. ha ha.
mr good-vibes
This guy is a fucking douche
Haha Reynolds looks like such a tool in that hat
looking at the old gonz footage and realizing nick trapasso skated so much like him just like the steezy loose style
Yeah Stacy you had such a "Good eye" for skaters that you didn't even make sure that Guy,Rudy etc could even get into their own fuckin premier !?! Then he wonders why people left Powell-Peralta in fuckin droves,Dick.
...random
Im from the east coast and i wish i had access too the maple boards and menace decks . I wuz jung then. I wish some of the ninetys legends would sell there unused boards on the market as a rerto release
JASON FUCKING LEE YEAH MAN!
What the fuck is this quality ?!?!
Vbstv tried to take it off RUclips then vice bought them and tried to make us pay to see them again
I respect Marc's skills, but the dude is so negative , I sometimes don't think he realises what he has , it's hard sitting here listen to a guy whining about a pro skate career like his so hard , try working fourteen hour days in a kitchen .
William Stanway try falling face first down a 12 stair set, he put in the work to become a skater man. He deserves it
hes not negative hes real
He is just smart he grew up in the streets. Never show you are happy: NEVER! always complain that's the way you save your ass. Just kidding :-)
The early 90s must've been the dream come true for filmers. I mean: skating went forward so damn fast, like every other video had several tricks never seen before (some teams even put two videos out during the same year as they had so much new things to show). It was an awesome time to be a skater, watching these films, but the filmers themselves have probably seen and experienced all the best parts. Would love to see all the throw away footages from my favorite videos.
