Yes you will want a smaller size than your regular shoe size. Personally mine are 2 sizes smaller than my regular size. They should be snug & comfortable but not too tight.

Yes, these fins are not going to fit or feel like normal footwear.

@@eduardogarciasuzarte8832 I ended up getting a pair of Cressi Rondinella as there was a deal on Amazon. I'm new to using fins so I wanted see if I would be comfortable using a pair. I have used them many times over the last few months in the local river and lake and they have been great, no issues whatsoever. My normal shoe size is 8 so I bought size 7-8 or 41-42 of the Rondinella model. I really enjoyed using them so I will most likely get the ones reviewed here for next summer as they are probably a better model even though the pair I got were fine for me. Bear in mind I'm a total novice and the reviewer in this video has way more experience of different models than me so my knowledge is only based on the Cressi Rondinella. Based on my experience with the brand I'd say you can't go wrong whichever model you choose but a lot would depend on how often and for what you use them. Me, I'm just a casual user for a few months during the summer so mine were fine. I hope this helps you and you get as much enjoyment as I did out of using whatever pair you decide to go for.

Yes drop your fin size down at least 2 sizes from your regular shoe size, they need to be snug but not too tight. You should not need to wear neoprene socks to make them fit. I've never noticed that the foot pockets on these fins have loosened at all, they feel just as comfortable now as when I first put them on.

You're welcome. For me they're very comfortable & the foot pocket is quite flexible too. I would suggest trying to find a pair you could try on in a pool for a while, to see how comfortable they feel after a length of time using them. Maybe your local dive shop could help out with this.

Jakelol1980 I've never used Pro Star so I can't comment on that particular fin, but Reaction Pro are a worthwhile investment. To date I've used these numerous times in pool practice, & I've also used them in Turkey & the Dominican Republic for snorkeling/free diving & scuba. Each time I'm still impressed by their shear performance & power, they really do the job very easily & comfortably. When my current ones are done with, I'd have no hesitation buying another pair. If you buy a pair you won't be disappointed. My partner uses Voyager fins by Beauchat, they are also very good. They require little effort to move through the water & when she wants to fin quickly on the surface the speed she can get is amazing, covering large distance in very short time. Thanks for the quick answer. I think I will be going with the Beuchat Mundial One 50 fins because they are freediving/spearfishing fins but semi short ones.

I got back from Turkey about 3 months ago & used these nearly everyday for 2 weeks....it was their first test outside the pool & they are amazing. Snorkeling & scuba diving they were comfortable all day, I'd definitely buy another pair when need to. They get you around very easily!

You're welcome car No.3! There was some great racing & skills on show. You made a few nice moves down the 'Bentley Straight', trying to get the inside line for 'Brundle' over 3 or 4 laps.
