Sometimes we wrote "hits", sometimes we wrote "cult-favourites", sometimes we wrote ones that never saw the light of day (and probably for good reasons). This one was eccentric. From 1987's "Driving Through Cleveland".

From The Derelicts' 1987 release, "Driving Through Cleveland". If someone had asked Samuel Beckett to turn "Waiting for Godot" into a five-minute folk-song, this just might have been it.

One of the more-commercial (?) tracks from 1990's "For $5.98 You Get".

The B-side of "Telephone Breakdown" (with apologies to Meredith Wilson and any & everyone ever associated with any production of "The Music Man").

The only song from our second release, "For $5.98 You Get", to hit the airwaves for a whole two spins on a downstate Illinois college radio-station in 1990. As would-be one-hit wonders go, who were we to complain? (The forty-seven cent royalty-cheque from BMI was a nice gesture too.)

Back in the beginning... In 1987, this was political-commentary from our first release, which actually sold a few copies. Now, it's dime-store satire in the form of a history-lesson. Enjoy, citizens.

One of the many songs from The Derelicts' second release, 1990's "For $5.98 You Get", that completely failed to impress any major-label record-executive, as well as a few minor ones. (We gave it our best shot, and we still had a blast.)

(From the 2012 RotaryGyratoR CD "Pass It On".) This cover-version has an origin-story...really.

The sole surviving promotional-video for the unreleased CD. (Eventually, it came out under another guise a year later - 2016 - as "One More Horizon". We'd still like to preserve this for digital eternity.)
