    And on Cade: agree with everything you guys said...and also, there's a huge difference between touching the ball almost every position b/c you're the first scoring option like he was at Butler and the role he's in here. He'll adjust; my guess is he'll start grooving in January..he needs time in this flow at this pace and getting used to letting it fly without a bunch of touches before his oppty comes.

  • @JoshReibel
    @JoshReibel День назад

    2nd half rebounding was solid but gotta remember the stats are distorted by how many free throws we shot -- ie, there weren't nearly as many defensive rebound opportunities for KS as there usually would be in a game with 89 pts scored. First half, the offense wasn't nearly as bad as a lot of people have been saying -- we were generating good shots and just missing them. Even with the weak defense and giving up 50+ 1st half pt,s the game could easily have been single digits at halftime if we shot even decently. IMO, a lot of our season is going to depend on shooting the ball well b/c if we don't, teams will pack in or play zone and slow us down a lot. As far as defending true bigs, I think we will get better and better at it -- will always be a challenge but we have a lot of different guys to throw at that -- even James Brown showed some nice stuff. But we have to shoot the ball well or else all those driving lanes that our guards are using to get to the rim and get fouled are gonna close up.

    a few takeaways Elon is much better than anyone expected , we actually played relatively well from his standpoint of taking care of the basketball and rebounding against a team easily as big. if not bigger. the ball just didn't go in the basket for the better part of the evening yet they weren't bad shots. in my opinion. I think we will be fine

  • @emiletoscano

    I was happy with UNC’s backcourt. Cadeau was the best player on the floor and got a lot better, RJ took over when he needed to, and Seth looks a lot more confident. It was great to see Withers with a double double as he rebounded well. Washington was OK as he was thrown off by elons size but he needs to be more physical. I like Lubin a lot. He does a lot of little things well and played physical which was great. Powell showed great energy and loved his defense. Jackson is super talented but he just needs to relax and let the game come to him. Tyson looks like a deer in the headlights. He looks very rushed and I’m concerned the pressure is getting to him. Overall, a lot of good a lot of bad. Just really need to focus, defend, and rebound. Cadeau looks like a NBA Point guard

    I was an original lower level Blue Zoner, had tix there for 5 years. Went back to GA because the food absolutely sucks in the bz, it’s hotter than fn hell in the seats, the people inside are mostly pompous aholes, not all, that are more concerned about the effing ice cream freezer working than the actual game. The endzone view sucks, and again, the bz seats radiate more heat than being on the actual sun.
