Will this position will be correct for a 1 month old baby? I find that is difficult to position the baby in a frog position. :(
The little legs don't have to be this far apart. The fabric at the bottom of the carrier is pleated in such a way that it can bunch inwards and sit comfortably in the back of the knee creases even for smaller babies who wish to sit in a nice deep squat position. The process to fit a fresh newborn in this carrier is the same, and the special design of the back panel means that it will curve around the baby's bottom so that they are supported in their natural spinal curvature with their legs in a nice deep frog squat position. This particular design of the Boba Bliss has been updated, so I'll certainly aim to get another video uploaded with a younger baby and the updated model. There are lots of photos on my website of newborns fitted into the Boba Bliss, for reference to the correct position for a younger baby. Happy babywearing!
I am gonna be honest, when your child is throwing his head back looking for boob...all these buckles... Make it really hard. I also got a really great M to, equal on both sides. But he ends up so low, and I put the base strap right under the bust 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Boba understand, and they changed the design to remove one of the extra straps. Babywearing is magical because your baby is so close to you that often you can read those hunger signs faster and get them to the breast faster, but sometimes our children will get the better of us and we just have to do what we can to make it work. 💕 If you are are finding baby is too low even with the waistband up really high, it would be worthwhile checking that there's not TOO much fabric underneath their bottom (that deep seated squat can still be achieved) and ensuring that the shoulder straps are firmly fitted to keep baby in a safely supported position where they are "close enough to kiss". 😀 You are always welcome to get in touch via social media if you would like to send photos for a fit check.
