From what I understand Edsel Ford the second was a real hot head he would get into fights at the board meetings. So they thought they would removed him from the real workings of the company and put him in charge of the charities. Each of Ford's kids and grandkids inherited 500 million each. I think they can afford to take care of those Estates themselves. Without begging for money.

As a kid in the 50s I played on one stored in my great aunt & uncles barn in Midland MI. My dad told me it was a bad investment. It sat for months waiting for parts if anything broke. Henry was too busy selling new tractors not supporting the one he'd already sold.

And not one word of good old Henry's antisemitism, his creation of a false narrative about the "Jewish Conspiracy", his union busting endeavors and then there was his racist side. What about that relationship with Hitler? Just a disgraceful beg for money. If he were truly sincere, the family would pool their money and foot the bill themselves. But no, a grifter has to grift.

"only through your support and with benefactors"??? Typical attitude for the filthy rich.... Had the Ford family _kept_ Fair Lane and maintained it as it _should_ have been, this full restoration would not have been necessary. Clearly, the Ford family can afford to pay for the restoration on it's own and _not_ beg the public to help foot the bill....

I hope you display his Nazi awards and sash, he was so proud of them. He had the Nazi legion of Honor - Hitler kept Henry's picture in his office. Hitler counted on his financial support when in Prison for the beer hall putch. Ford's Opel company made tanks for Germany during WW2. Ford sued the US for bombing his factory and actually won the suit. Burn in hell Henry Ford.
