Porsche 996 | Speedster | Motorheads.com

DCT Speedster humps. An inexpensive mod for Porsche 996 Cabriolets.
you getting a LOT at the price with the GTS. its the best choice in the line up. yes you can get a slower naturally aspirated car for 50-80k more. if you dont care spending 30% more why not. and as well usability. I use my 911 everyday. 992.2 GTS you have a 540 HP car with the consumption of a 120 HP car. 992.1 GTS has a massive turbo lag. I dont enjoy it. it's actually not that complex, there used to be an American company retrofitting cars with a similar system and the porsche warranty is really good. I dont see where all the worry comes from
Rumor making the rounds is that they put the electric concept on the back burner. Porsche went back to the drawing boards and will put out a v10 hybrid running solely on net zero emission fuel.
Reviving a V10 Porsche formula would be the ultimate dream for fans and enthusiasts alike
Very interesting discussion. Who knows what Porsche’s next super or hyper car will be and look like ? It’s obviously the first time Porsche seems at a loss, unless a surprise surges and amazes us all. Time will tell. 😎
The air shocks of the new Panamera hybrid should have been put in this. Here in LA everyone complains about scraping over dips in roads and driveways in supercars. Porsche is the only one offering a dynamic ride height adjustment but they put in only into Panamera and Tycan which are less likely to scrape in the first place. Missed opportunity.
Most likely too heavy for a 911 …😊
@ that’s probably it- though they have a double lift front and rear for the Dakar which would be great here. For a 911 those daily issues are especially important as they are not garage queens for the most part.
The complexity is just being switched. There is no aux belts or mechanical pumps and alternator, ect…. So it is a give and take on that end.
Thanks for pointing that out
Disband the EU
A hybrid gt3 is just like buying an expensive track version 911 Carrera. Its definitely doomed asf, motorsport sound wouldnt be the same.
Agreed, one of the biggest aspects about the GT3 experience after all is that visceral soundtrack from the naturally-aspirated flat-six. Thankfully, it sounds just as good with Porsche's e-fuels as seen on the (992) 911 GT3 Cup
4:10, Who told him that.? Volkswagen is the parent company of Bugatti, Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini.!
Bugatti is no longer directly a part of the VW Group as of 2024. Porsche and Rimac agreed to setup a joint venture to form 'Bugatti-Rimac' back in 2021. Rimac holds a 55% stake in the venture and Porsche holds 45%. Read more here: www.porsche.com/usa/aboutporsche/pressreleases/pag/?id=649204&pool=international-de&lang=none
These renderings look super real...
It's so much fun to build these crazy cars and also think about 'why not' ;) glad you enjoyed it. feel free to suggest rendering ideas for the next video ;)
BORING
Be patient ;)
Let us know what you think about the RML P39. I think this is the best looking GT1 style rendering we have seen so far and based on the 911 Turbo sounds like a much smart decision than a ground up built, even if pricing feels it should be more special.
Newsflash, the 992 already sucks
It’s pretty boring and tame indeed
If I was Porsche, I would move my factory and headquarters to the United States.
I mean, if they can build Teslas in Germany, I'm sure Porsche can figure out a way to build cars (at least their SUVs and EVs to begin with) in the United States. Perhaps VW's Chattanooga plant could come into play here. If and when U.S. import tariffs come into play, Porsche may actually have to reconsider their strategy
I mean Mercedes has plants in Mexico and Alabama I think, so it’s definitely doable. The thing is that if they want to sell their cars in the eu they have to follow the eu regulations, regardless of where they manufacture. Doing that wouldn’t really accomplish anything for them. Even worse are the 2030 plans in the eu and California for evs, if they’re still planning on do that shit.
A US built gt3 to escape euro carbon restrictions … genius idea ;)
@@Bllksem have you seen how bad quality control is in those Mexican plants? Seems that the cars coming out of Mexico are subpar.
@@mattbr5246 I havent, but that should be a solvable issue though. Look, the main reason Porsche won’t move manufacturing is probably because their cars would probably lose a fair bit of prestige if not made in Germany. I’m sure they could set up elsewhere and still make good cars, but it’d be bad for their brand image, and wouldn’t really solve any of their problems. Not because they couldn’t keep up with qc.
The car looks fantastic. But to ask for over $1M, it needs a name like Icon, not Oilstainlabs. Besides, l wish they had been more creative with the exposed top-mounted exhaust manifold. The exhaust pipes should have been weaved like braids.
The $1million price tag allow them to pretty much one off every single part on the car and they know there are buyers in the Middle East who will buy it just to add to their collection. Objectively you will need a team of full time mechanic to keep this on the road. But the name could have been more original, I hope they have a good story behind it … anybody knows ?
The name Oilstainlab is a combination of words that represent the California-based group's work with cars and their approach to the craft. "Oil" is the lifeblood, the "stain" a badge of honor for gearheads, and their "Lab" is a messy playground for pushing boundaries and experimenting with four-wheeled mayhem.
@@christopherk6353 l understand the meaning. But that's not a marketable name for a $1M supercar.
Guys, but this is big, when mobile phone company can do such a time. The hobby racing EVs just starting. Imagine, you would do 2 laps and then possible super fast charging (like 5N). Future is electric and I am glad Sasha did understand this finally.
Thanks ChatGPT lol
992.2 turbo s will have hybrid set up mgu h like the gts but hp increase is about 750hp n 1000nm
Unless Porsche comes up with a surprise ;) you never know with these guys One day nothing burger the next shocking the world Just kidding … I bet for nothing burger gts ++ 🎃
Pay more for X4 Cat and x2 GPF for better muted car, emissions regulations kills GT3 sector
Porsche is doing their best to keep the dream alive but it surely is harder each year to keep these gt3 legal
Le son sera moins bien ou ca reste equivalent avec tous les nouveaux filtres… ?
Tu parle du son de la voiture ou de notre ‘micro studio’ 😂
Indian guy seems to be more knowledgeable. Other guy just wanted to talk about aesthetics, and then kept acting surprised when they are mostly features we've already seen on the 992.2 Carrera
Kudos to Khris indeed he is the one doing the ground work indeed
On the GT3 Touring the rear seats, manual gearbox with shorter ratios and the fact that the car is 85% of the ST - if that is the case. 😎
Yes the everybody S/T is now within reach of mere mortals with $200k ;)
Speak English.
Which new feature from the 992.2 Porsche GT3 matters to you ? ... if any ;)
Finally a reallll hypercar!!!!
Wouldn’t it be nice if it would be affordable also ;)
