Football fans, actually I recognized the game and the teams the moment I saw the first clip. That was an AFL game (pre-NFL merger) played in the Houston Astrodome between the Houston Oilers and the Denver Broncos. The vertical (up & down) stripes on the Broncos' uniforms gave it away!

That's great to know and very appropriate you'd make your comment on 9/9/12--first Sunday of the 2012 NFL regular season. Additionally, I have to wonder whether Paul Davis was a football fan or this NFL footage found its way into his "65 Love Affair" video by some other circumstance. Thinking of Super Bowl V and all of the early ones, it's mind boggling to see reports almost every year in the current day saying those earliest bowls had $10 tickets and empty seats. Laughable by today's SB orgy

Yes but the reel was from the 71 Super Bowl(70 season) when they beat the Cowboys 16-13. The reel they should have shown was theColts playoff game with Green Bay in December of 65 when they lost in OT 13-10. Many people feel that Don Chandler's field goal was wide but they called it good and then the Packers won in OT.

I was wondering about the video. I know that some of the images were from 1965 such as the space walk, Vietnam, the Watts riots, etc. Wasn't sure if all of them came from "65. I wouldn't know. I was born a year later. Always thought this was a great song from high school.

Alan Frew was born in Coatbridge, Scotland in 1956. He is the only non-Canadian member of the band.

Alan Frew is from Scotland.I believe the rest of the guys are all from Canada.The band was formed in Newmarket Ontario so,that makes them Canadian.

@Turanga1i1a a lot of times a tune that was a big hit in its day is hardley ever heard on the radio again. Who ever owns the rights is sitting on it for some reason.....or they want too much royalities.....or the song is embroiled in some legal tangle
