As a video/sound editor, piano and synthesizer player, I want to share my appreciation for the early cinema period and music from the belle époque and the 1920's. I upload the movies from my private archive, after adding and synchronizing a music track, performed by me, using a piano and a synthesizer. The music track emulates the experience of seeing movies during that period, the favored instrument is the piano, sometimes the organ. Orchestras were only used during special presentations like premieres and sometimes during press screenings. Enjoy!

The very first film appearance of Buster Keaton
Where is Helen Carrutthers in the list of players? I love her very much.
She was not credited in the film, the same happened to several actors that appear as members of the audience (Chester Conklin, Harry McCoy, Fritz Schade, Slim Summerville, Leo Morris and Mack Sennett.) I added her credit in the description of the short.

Buster invented and also performed ALL of those gags and stunts himself without getting himself killed. Amazing man, and brilliant. Sadly, in real life he was also tragic.
I am surprised that this film never takes them to the main part of the exposition.

I notice that from 14:05 to 17:13 there’s a really great piano version of the Italian song “Chiribiribin” Does anyone know who plays this version?
This piano arrangement of Pestalozza's song was made by a non credited pianist circa 1916. The arrangement was copyrighted by Angelus, Wilcox and White, a piano roll manufacturer. It's possible that it was made by Percy Wenrich. The actual short's music track was recorded & synchronized by our sound editor Ricardo Guzman.
