BEHIND GRILLE LIGHT BAR INSTALL ON CHEVY K10
Просмотров 2 тыс.Год назад
Super easy install on my 87 Chevy k10. Should’ve done this sooner. If you have any questions feel free to comment, and follow me on tiktok @squarebodytexan
What is lift and wheel tire size it sets great
weird. my 5 things a squarebody must have are-- #1-- a 454 swap. #2-- 3/4 or 1 ton front and rear axles swap. #3-- bang screech shift kit if auto, good shifter if manual. #4-- ladder bars on rear to eliminate wheelhop #5-- dual shocks or more up front
Nothing pisses me off more then some jackass with his bar light in my eyes. If you want good lights just know this. After going through the wiring harness your headlights lose voltage and your headlights get about 9 volts. For about 30 bucks you can get a direct to battery harness, and it's a ten min. install. Your old headlights will receive over 13 volts and look like led lights. I would buy a gun too if I was running a bar light, lol. You are going to make a lot of folks mad. btw, nice truck, nice video. These trucks have multiple ground points. Go through the truck and clean them all. Life will be better, lol.
Beautiful car
You need four-wheel drives up north for the snow
Do you think this is a good truck to have as your first car??
The little sac as you call it is a map pocket
sq chevy. Cup holder. A roll of duct tape. Works great
I don't think they understand the center of the roll is the holder, lol
I use a boot or two
Grateful mine came with a/c, and I'm with you on the cup holder. Mine sits on the seat with arm rest/storage and two cup holders, Love it. $30 at auto parts store.
Forget a thousand veiws you almost at 1,000 subs. Congratulations and thanks for the content
I have a question: What does Scottsdale mean? i have an 86 k20, so what does it mean? And nice truck
Pretty sure it was just a trim package
@@dropshot_outdoors ok thanks
@@That86k20apa yessir
yes it's the trim package, but 10 is 1/2 ton, 20 is 3/4 ton, and 30 is full ton
Are you looking to sell that truck?
Good informative video. You went straight to the point and explained it well.
You should do more videos about squarebodys
Was this truck rusted out when you bought it? And how much did you pay for it
@@kupie1399 no. I paid 14k for it. I put about 5k into it replacing the interior, new tires, rear bumper ect.
More worthless than I could have imagined when I clicked on a video about squarebodys.
He is young, give him a chance, maybe even teach him.
So I just want you to know I bought an 80 square body six tears ago did off frame restoration. Two of the modifications I did recently after my restoration. Cross over steering, and change out bench seat to a set of 2024 Tahoe front seats and center console. Not only did the center console hav e storage space but has cup holders also I connected power to the seats and I have adjustable seats and lumbar support. Note if I ever want to sell my beast, I do have the original bench seat and steering. But as far as comfort and drivability these were the best additions. Restoration included AC, tint and sound system (that I can enjoy).
Intreating man, what would you recommend cash ammount to restore one of these beauts, including buying one id say starting 7-12 g just buying the car(no restored)
How much did the seats cost you?
Are you looking to sell your truck
These trucks are made to modify. Unless you have a numbers matching truck, you no longer need that stuff.
You should look into the Philips brand headlights. I got them on my 85 k10. They have the original glass look and a single led at the top so it doesn’t look like those cheap 20 led headlights that everyone is running. They are pretty bright as well.
I gotta 67 Camero you won’t ever regret getting it and will never sell it. that truck would be nice but you cannot ever find a Camero and ever day is getting harder to find one.
Wait please reply to this. Isn’t this the truck whistlindiesel bought and destroyed there is no telling how much he payed for this.
No
Oh ok mb, I thought you were buying a obs
Is 24,500 a good price for one almost just like this
It’s not unreasonable.
The hardest rust area for me is the front and rear windows, if you can take windows out before you buy. It's very hard to patch because the contour of the metal, first hand knowledge. my trucks on my page.
be sure to set them lights for the on coming car
Just appreciate that you don’t have deep dish wheels wrapped with those dumb*ss rubber band tires. Even keeping the original aesthetic by hiding the light bar. Respect 🤌🏼
The first four are doors I got the perfect one for sale
Good to see someone refer to the proper designators, V10, for this year/series! This is what makes this year unique!
I have a 81 4x4 4 on the floor 3/4 ton just waiting for the resto ! Well where do you put yr cigarette butts?
I'm saving up for a 1978 Chevy Scottsdale
Good lookin truck. Is it lifted? What size tires are you roll on?
Bro where is the link for the cup holder
I love your truck and I really enjoy you videos, it's awesome recognizing all the places you drive by, I also live in Hays Co, just a stitch outside of Wimberley
#1 Motor condition/replacement #2 Transmission model/condition #3 Frame condition #4 Transfer case condition #5 Body condition
Beautiful truck! And beautiful town, I went to school there, too
I really like your channel but personally ill say rust aint so bad if you know here are the steps .... 1st 100$ is enough to de rust ...well all classoc paint for chevy is at walmart...u need to figure out what primer goes with what color so u can paint back original i dont just paint my colors unless show truck.... When dad buys me a pickup and I know nothing about it
I’m daddy
Rust is mainly from the salt they put on the roads in winter👎🏼👎🏼
I guess opinions very, sound systems for me or ac not critical in any classic yes I have an 87 3/4 4.
Bro, it’s been 8 months since your last update! I hope you come back these videos are incredibly interesting!
No cup holders, no stereos was common because these were work trucks on the ranch and cruising into town to get some hay bales. Only later on did you get more convenience items. A/C too. It was an extra or not even an option. I think they are good things to add. Shoulder belts, also. In the 70’s it was lap belts only on these. 4x4 is nice but it’s more maintenance, more weight, worse economy and more to go wrong. In snow and mud it’s a must have. If not, all terrain tires and a LSD rear differential work good for 95% of the situations you’ll get in. On my Land Rover I took the LED bar off and put two LED spot lamps on the front bumper. Worked great and had a classic look. Good video and a nice rig, brother!
Nice truck Bro. I have a 73 K10 4 speed 465 and 205 transfer. 6 inch lift with 35 inch tires. THE NUMBER 1 thing to do first on all these trucks is crossover steering. My entire front end is new, also welded in frame reinforcement for new steering box, Borgesen steering shaft and a frame brace from Off Road Design. My truck never came with AC and I took the radio out I just listen to the exhaust. Duals with 2 Super 10s dropped 4 feet behind the cab. Good luck man, again very nice truck!!
Was yours a government vehicle? Many came with 4-spd and 4:56 rear. Good up to 55 mph, but screams even at that speed.
I have a v6 1985 k10
What tires are ya running? I have this exact truck. 1984 Chevy Silverado 4x4 but mine is a K10 body on a K20 frame.
Perfect. What inch lift do you have ?
I look at cracking this bottle open
Clean the lines out in your ac with at least 3 cans of cleaner after checking for leaks before adding freon to ac very important to clean out the lines thoroughly trust me
Change your tranny fluid on next oil change if you plan on using 4wd id recommend hotshotz transmission fluid its great for racing & off roading as it's very resilient to heat amongst other reasons
What size wheels do you have and is your truck lifted? I’m looking at wheels for my 87 k10 and I’m trying to find something that would fit and look like yours without having to lift it if that’s possible
Love your truck . I had a 84 GMC , and I installed 4 halogen headlights . I had no issues with light on the hwy
Back in my day we didn't have cupholders because you never put down your beer. If you emptied it it went out the window and you had a hand free for the next one.
Too many words
Did daddy buy that for you ? It’s a very nice truck and your “must haves” are all good ideas.
Yes I’m daddy
Did your daddy abandon you
