SUPER QUICK AND EASY FIX Leaking Window Well Full of Water
Просмотров 35 тыс.4 года назад
When I noticed a river of water in my basement, I ran outside to see what had happened and saw my window wells totally flooded!!! I thought what in the heck am I going to do to get this out?!?!? Then I realized I could just grab a bucket and start dumping water out!!!! I was just hoping that I could help others not freak out and grab a bucket too.
LOWE'S PORTFOLIO Landscape Lighting Kit Installation | Before & After
Просмотров 8 тыс.4 года назад
Watch as I install a DIY Low Voltage Landscape Lighting Kit from Portfolio that I got from Lowe's. I converted my 120V fixture to 12V and installed a GFCI Outlet. Now the old wire that was chewed by critters is replaced with safer low voltage. No more shorting circuit breakers and no need for conduit. See more at www.diyhometogether.com

DIY Deer Proof Raised Bed Cedar Garden
Просмотров 17 тыс.4 года назад
Watch as I build a 12' x 12' Walk In Raised Bed Cedar Garden that is virtually deer proof. I used Sketchup to design this all cedar garden using 2"x4", 1"x2" cedar lumber, Cedar Dog Ear Fencing Panels (far less expensive than Cedar Boards), Chicken Wire, Sturdy Wire Mesh to keep underground critters out, and LOTS OF DIRT!!!
Fix what?? Title should be: HOW TO FILL BUCKET OF WATER
Get utility pump better then a bucket
Stupid
LOL You get the Darwin award!!!!😂
why not a teacup? idiot
Really?
Are you stupid?
Just add shades or cover for rain, they are available acrylic clear ones
Get you a plastic cover, the 42” plastic cover. Then caulk around the top and both sides to create a nice seal around the cover and house. Then water will not get in. With water in your window wells it creates a breeding ground for mosquitoes. It also can do damage to the foundation and window. Especially when it freezes in the winter.
OMG! What a timeless solution! HaHa! This doesn't help me, of course, looking for a little more robust solution.
Real handyman there!! 😂
4 cycles ones you have to adjust the valves after several months of use i guess once you feel the cord getting heavier to pull
What was the super easy fix?
Really wish you had done away with the loud annoying music and explained more of what you were doing.
Can you share the sketch up plans?
Hahahahahajajajajajaja
How did u fix this problem of the water entering ur window wells? Is it bc of the negative slope to the window? I am having the same problem
On my particular property it wasn’t the slope as much as that the window wells were clogged with leaves. Once I was able to get the leaves out of the window well (after I got the water out and it dried) the window wells didn’t fill up again. If that hadn’t worked I was going to put a plastic cover on the wells to see if that would work. Slope is important so if the grade slopes into your house it’s probably best to get a small grader and push some dirt away from the house. Anything you move will help some.
Also, too for getting the leaves out, I used an electric leaf blower that is “reversible” and sucked the leaves out like it was a vacuum. A shop vac might work too in a pinch.
I have Stihl chainsaws, but Ryobi 4 cycle string trimmers. The only thing I find trouble with the Ryobi is the ethanol eating the fuel lines, primer bulbs, check valves and varnishing up the carburetor. More maintenance, but they're less expensive.
True less expensive, but they seem to break. These days I just want to buy a quality product once, happy with stihl so far
Dude get a shop vacuum
Nice been looking to build something like this for the wife's garden.
Why build so close to a tree? Plants need sunlight.
You are right, but This was the best location we could do without it being in the middle of the yard. Wanted to keep room for the kids to play
State of the art solution! Well done. 👍
Ha thanks! Actually the reason I posted the video cuz when I looked at it I was like what the heck am I gonna do with this?? And then I thought to myself, oh yeah duh a bucket. Just thought someone else might have the same problem, think it was a hard fix and in the end see the solutions a bucket
How did you fix the problem?
Delete this video man 😆
I just got my first 4cycle trimmer. I was a true believer of 2cycle.my first 1 lasted almost 20 years. I got the Ryobi multi attachment unit. So now I have a bunch of attachments that need a power head to use them. Got my second Ryobi. It lasted maybe 2 years and was hell to start most of the time. I've tried my new one and it started up 2nd pull. Now I also won't need to wear crap clothing because of the oil coming out the back end.
Use a shop vac fool
Omg I laughed so hard at the fact this was just a video of how to use a bucket.
Is this a JOKE??? Lol. Wasting time.
Your comparing a cheap ryobi to a pro product. What do you expect.
squirrels will get inside like nothing
They actually havent
@@diyhometogether6565 without a chicken wire roof I can't see how or why they wouldn't go inside...
Wait they will put that chicken wire on top also
😆 Ma hai ucciso il Ryobi con questo video
this is the most un educational video i ever seen
I work for a city Parks And Rec Dept. Stihl tools are nearly indestructible. The guys here absolutely use and abuse our Stihl brand tools and they just keep going and going and going. Ryobi on the other hand, is made by the same manufacturer that makes Homelite tools. I bought a new Ryobi backpack blower and it no s&*t seized up after less than 10 minutes of use. Yes, the gas was mixed and no, I wasn't abusing it in any crazy way. If you want to buy a tool that will last as long as possible, spend the extra money on a Stihl rather than any other brand. They're tough as nails, theyre mechanically superior to everything, have their own proprietary fuel injection and their parts and service is excellent.
You snapped off the crankcase breather hose. The 2 smoke engines have the intake air/fuel go through the crankcase in order to lubricate the engine. The breather hose is only important for emissions.
I'm glad someone else seen that besides me
My man small carburetor will gum up and give you problems in just a few weeks if gas is not treated. Probably need to clean carb takes me about 15 minutes and it doesn’t matter who it's made by.
that line is not to filter the oil. it is a crankcase breather. and it going into the intake of the machine so it doesn't have as much emissions and its more efficient. this is why u can't use 4 cycles upside down. along with valves.
Use a sump pump! If this is a recurring problem have an automatic sump pump installed that turns on whenever water is sensed! You dont want your basement flooded while you’re away from home
What a loser
Dude you need a sum pump
Stop embarrassing yourself . Don't do any more stupid videos
Like 4 stroke trimmers the ones I had worked just as well as the 2 stroke
Who told you a 4 cycle makes more power than a 2 cycle. Power to weight ratio the 2 cycle will crush a 4 cycle all day. Besides the weight the 2 cycle can be used in any position or orientation where as the 4 cycle cant.
You're right...the cheap ones can't. I have a Honda HHT25STLAT and it CAN be used (and stored) in any position. I replaced a Stihl FS56 R-CE with this Honda, and will tell you that the Honda is quieter (of course), has an abundance of torque, so I can run it at half throttle, and is much smoother. The Stihl is about 1 1/2 pounds lighter, but when you adjust the loop handle correctly, the Honda balances perfectly, so the extra weight is hardly noticeable. They are expensive, but the mini 4-stroke engine is outstanding. The only other true 4-stroke trimmer worth buying would be the Makita EM2650LH, and it also can be run in any position, but must be stored horizontally or "head-up" if hung vertically.
🤦♂️ “I was messing with this and it just snapped right off “lol also cost comparison? Because I’m almost positive you can buy Approximately 3 Ryobi trimmers so 3 at 3 years a peice that’s almost 10 years and I can confidently bet those are “maintenance free” years lol
God forbid a rubber line cracked...oh the horror 🤣 And if the oil went the way you described let's just say that engine would be screwed. Get a clue about how things work before you do a "review"...
Well where is this fix to prevent it from filling up and leaking into the basement
lol you got to be kidding me. guess all you need is a bucket
If you are gonna review the 2 stroke vs 4 stroke you should know how these engines operate. 'Nuff said.
The Stihl is most likly a 4_stroke also! Have you checked that?
You might want to invest in a utility pump. For 50 or 100 bucks you could suck each of those dry in about 20 or 30 seconds. Every home owner should have one
For every 2 rotations of the crankshaft in a "4 cycle" engine, you get one power stroke (the 1/2 turn where the gasoline mixture explodes and drives the piston down.) For ever single rotation of the crank in a "2 stroke" engine, you get a power stroke. In essence, you get twice the number of power "explosions" in the 2 stroke. They're way better for small engines (and airplanes and such where you need top performance in a light package.) Even though there's some pain-in-the-ass factor associated with having to mix your gasoline with precisely enough 2-stroke oil, you avoid having to deal with having to check and fill a crank case. Plus, being able to turn the 2 stroke upside down and have it run just as well as right-side up is a mega-bonus! 2 stroke all the way! (And I love my Stihl chainsaws way better than my Ryobi 2 stroke string trimmer - although it's not a bad trimmer. My Stihl MS441 is absolutely crazy! I'll bet that Stihl trimmer is a great investment!) Thanks for the vid!
Your shit isn't funny, useless waste of time.
