is it possible to cut other type of Precious and semi precious gemstone ? Does it harm the stone Color in Diff Temp ?
Thank you for your valuable question. In our experience, cutting various precious and semi-precious gemstones like emeralds, aquamarine, ruby, sapphire, or demantoid has yielded mixed results. Some stones were cut beautifully, while others were not suitable for laser cutting. It seems that not all materials are ideal for this process and may still require traditional blade saw cutting. 0:34 Why does it look like there so much run out on the turning operation?
Our 5-axis simultaneous systems can be used for specific turning applications. For the filming of the video, the shots had to be taken in simulation mode. On this equipment and in this mode, compensation for runout is not applied: this explains why we can see it on the video. But don't worry, the resulting parts have tolerances of just a few microns!

you use a green laser (at least in the video) i have a few questions: why use green and not something in the infrared region? shouldnt this be more easy to focus as with the higher wavelength? assumption, personally i assume it is a green pulsed laser (not a diode laser) am i right with this? is it not possible to create smaller nozzles (1 micrometer, as the wavelength of the green laser should easy fit in with 530nm or so)? How much pressure would be needed to push water through a 1 micrometer nozzel ? :-)
