We knew the Lady who lived here. Compared to the bland awful sterile obligatory Grey and White refurbishment this Bungalow has had after being done up it is absolute sacrilege that they ripped up the Parquet flooring and have taken out those beautiful dark wood bookshelves and pulled up all those established shrubs at the front of this property. But no doubt a Miliennial couple with children will move in and stick the obligatory trampoline in the garden to complete the boring modern makeover that this property has had done.

This was once the Ropemaker's Arms and then the Cooper's Cask. I had many a pint here!

I worked here during the 90s, think the owner was a mrs Lunn at the time. The downstairs lounge was open back then, same upstairs. It was a huge bedroom for the male residents, we had as sluce room downstairs in the laundry room, the staff room led through to the kitchen. Great memories

Just done some exploring there, and discovered that the basement was as it seems a very big grow room and not by any standard an amateur drug operation .Does anyone have any history of this place as it was quite ecclectic in it had a few antiques,then a motor workshop, very strange set up indeed?

That has got to be one of the worst auctioneers videos I have ever seen, camera sweeping from side to side doesn't help, make me feel dizzy. I would humbly suggest you employ a professional next time to include overhead drone footage, it might get you better money and more clients.

Iam currently in a holiday park just outside jaywick. AND I can confirm its a horrible place to live. :( had to find a shop to buy some food went to the nearest town which was jaywick. The place is dead. No big shops. Just couple of corner shops with little food supplies. :( the place is dirty , a lot of abandoned houses I would say 70% abandoned. The ones that are vacant look horrible. Rubbish,crack heads and poor old people there. I can not imagine how people live there. Everything you see on the internet about this place is 100 true if not worst. I just dont understand why people stay there to live. There is no work , no decent shops,no entertainment nothing just rubbish everywhere.

I was there in the 1960s. What a shock seeing my old school in this state. For a while we had a temporary outdoor pool for swimming lessons posistioned over to right as you go through the main entrance. No one wanted to get in because it was freezing cold and full of dead wasps. The climbing bars were also on that side of the playground with no soft landing underneath if you fell off head first, just tarmac! 60's kids were tough. My big sister went to Swadelands down the road which was a standard secondary at the time.
