I had a plastic lace style bag like that in the 80’s as my school bag 😊 when I was 16 …….bright yellow. They were all the rage. That was 40 years ago! Where has that time gone?🤣. Jeans look fab..When I was teenager back in the seventies I was always sewing bits and pieces onto my jeans and jackets..I once got a bad inkstain on a favourite pair of trousers and covered it up with a felt stitched mouse..though thinking back a stitched mouse on the fly area maybe wasn't the best choice 😅 ☘️❤️

I know just what you mean about having to push yourself to go out - the same happens to me… even though once I’m out I love it, actually getting myself to leave the house can be the hardest thing sometimes! I used to have a quote on my kitchen noticeboard that said, “Take your dog for a walk, even if you haven’t got one!”

Hi Lilly. It was so lovely to spend 1/2 hour with you and hear about what you have done and see your beautiful wool. I am with you about pets. We have decided not to have any as we enjoy just popping away for a day or two or going out for the day without having to think about a pet. If I was on my own I may get a cat. Not sure though and I hope I will not be on my own anytime soon. Take care and see you again very soon xx

Oh that was funny seeing my Don bag on the screen when it was right next to me 😅 About sock knitting. I’ve been knitting for about 50 years and have to date made two pairs! I find magic loop on socks so fiddly and after putting so much hard work in no-one ever sees them (they were far too big and I ended up given them to my sons) I am attempting a third pair but honestly, I would stick to perfecting beautiful shawls - much easier, you can show them off and they keep you snug too. As far as the yarn festival goes, don’t commit yourself if you think closet to the time it will make you too anxious. I would go along just as a ‘non-podcaster’ person and enjoy the day - your fans are sure to spot you anyway!!! Xxx

Lilly you have come on so much. You are doing great. Id say other RUclipsrs would love meeting you. I'm in Ireland otherwise I would love to meet you. You're right about retired people.i recently retired and it is harder to meet people. You have to make more effort to do it. But you tube is great especially the crafty people like yourself. Thanks for all you do. Good luck with the knitting. I've just learned how to knit in the round ( it's hard) and I'm making my first hat! So proud. So you are doing very well.😊

Hi Lilly, it’s really good to push ourselves a little bit to do things that maybe we haven’t done before and that make us more confident, I recently did a tour of the Lake District by myself, was quite nervous about it but I had a wonderful time & during the week chatted to loads of lovely people, so glad I did it ❤

I wholeheartedly agree, making connections here is great! A shared interest bringing people together and 'friendships', which they are really, in the same way we had pen pals in the past, being made. I always read everyone's comments, such nice friendly folk! Glad your knit nights are so enjoyable 🧶 I love my knitty group. I joined when I stopped work and since then I've never been more sociable!! My whole week is free with no work or timetable to adhere to 😄 I love it! I'm a coffee glugging, cake scoffing, crochet hook wielding, lunching, outings, chatting socialite! 😂 Ps. Hollyhock seeds popped into the postbox 📮 today x

You really should do the podcaster event at the east anglia yarn show. My sister the Cornish stitcher felt exactly the same at this years show. Mum and I pushed her over there and made her go sit with everyone and she loved it! It really gave her a boost. Xx

Hi Lily. It was lovely to see you and hear about your knitting. It's probably wise to start on a simple shawl first. Practice helps with muscle memory. Once you feel a bit more confident knitting a cowl or scarf in the round. It's just a big tube, like a giant sock. If you need any help, I'm here. SW on your yarn stands for super wash. This means it's had a treatment, and usually, you can wash it, and it won't felt. It's so nice meeting up with people you've chatted with online. I've met lovely mousiemakes Helen a couple of times. Hi Lilly, I think you've done the right thing by knitting a shawl before you start socks. Knit night sounds great and ideal to learn more from other knitters and get help when you need it. Baby Alpaca is the first shearing of fleece, absolutely beautiful and soft, I think they are usually about 3/4 months old, so yes still babies really. I have just finished my boxy quilted bag from your tutorial and am absolutely thrilled with it ❤ I must put it on IG. Thank you for a lovely chat look forward to the next one. Take care xx

Hi Lilly! So I just have to tell you something funny, I am making the same shawl you are and last weekend I forgot to add on one row and it made it look uneven, so I had to frog the whole thing and start over. I had knitted 250 yards of yarn. 😂 The mistake was at the beginning. 😢 I had to laugh when you said you had to frog too. Can't believe we are making the same shaw. I am almost back to where i was. I will send you a picture when I get it finished. I love bunnies but have never had one. They are so adorable. Love your new yarn...so pretty!! Have a great and crafty weekend! Your podcast was like a delicious Lilly sandwich today! I loved the beginning and end (the slices of bread 😂) but the filling was just perfect too! We’ve just got back from a week in the van - we’ve been in Suffolk and Norfolk!!! We had a great time and I kept thinking that I might bump into you! ❤

Loved the beach clip the sound of waves made me feel very relaxed😊 I also loved your rabbit and the quilt is amazing, it's inspired me to have the goal of making one for the bed. Also I tried the English paper piecing, oh its lovely to do and I like how you can take it anywhere.. takes up no space at all. I'm making a small pouch with it for a oracle card deck. I love seeing and listening to the beach clips. ❤ Your little Dutch rabbit is just too cute. I had planned to make her whilst we were on holiday last month but decided to do the moon hare instead because I thought she would make a lovely fairy for the Christmas tree but now I've made her I think she's a bit too big! I might have to make the small Dutch rabbit and dress her as a fairy for the tree instead! See you next time xx

Your quilt is so pretty. I love the embroidered quilt. I do think a pretty line of embroidery down each of the centre areas on the plain fabric would look lovely. Your special parcel of goodies was so lovely. I love all the vintage embroidery transfers and the tablecloth which I agree would make a lovely quilt.
