How happy must Venerable Dhammavuddho be now. His rebirth must have been grand. I miss him, though.

Nobody can place more importance on one truth over another. It's not the most important, but it is the portal to understanding the dharma. It is therefore the first thing you should understand properly. very much like this teacher because we both went through very similar trajectories, as Mahayana, and then come to Thailand and experience the pros and cons of being a monk in Thailand. His teachings are very good. He is very highly qualified in the academic study of the dharma, which most monks get stuck with that and don't find intuition. But this man does have insight into the meanings of the academic things he has studied. And he also has the power to explain to the simple lay person. makes this monkey very valuable monk for Buddhists of the western world, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. Because he can help Buddhists in those countries to get a deeper understanding of the insights which are accessible through the practice of Thai Tudong Buddhism

According to the original Pali suttas, the Lord Buddha was cremated, and the kingdoms of northern India almost came to war over his ashes and relics. There is no mention of a burial as the questioner mentioned.

The 4 noble truth the complete teaching of Lord Buddha. The complete understanding of these 4 noble truth leads one to nibanna. The Buddha tell you to practice vipasanna meditation and experience the 4 noble truth clearly and you can become ariya or Sotopana. How to become a Sotopanna? You will need to have calm mind or samadhi to get into the 4 foundation of mind, body, feeling, perception or mental formation. You will only get into samadhi or calm states of mind only when you are able to constantly follow the meditation object. I am a sotopana and i am able to enter samadhi easily. It is not magic. You will really need to be able to flow with your inbreath and out breath projected to your abdominal rising and falling. I have experiment this when i follow the breath constantly, my mind begin to show me the 4 foundation of mindfulness. I then purposely stop focus and stop to follow the meditation object, imediately the samadhi also disappear. And when i begin to really follow the breath again, samadhi return and i begin to see the 4 foundation of body again feelings, perception, mental formation arises. As one continue with calm and flowing with the meditation object you will one day enter ceesation of mind once your practice are perfectly free from greed, hatred, delusion. As you ongoing practice your vipasanna meditation only then you will one day enter the stream. Do you know why? It is because as you have already reach the 4 foundation, the mind is continuingly ongoing removing greed, hatred, delusion inside your mind. Until such time it is really perfectly clean from greed, hatred, delusion, then suddenly you will experience ceesation of your concious where you become cut off from this existence and as you enter magga and palla. You are now a sotopanna. You have finally come to experience the last noble truth where the mind ceases you enter the streams.Mind do not exist anymore when you experience nibanna. Suki hotu. Vitaka vichara how to know? Vitaka is not about happiness or bliss or peaceful. It is a state of mind free from hindrances that suddenly becomes clear (vitaka)and the continue focus (vichara)on the abdomen as regards to in breath and out breath rising and falling motion suddenly becomes easy. Then what is vichara? Vichara is the ability to continuously focus on the rising and falling motions of your abdomen this time with ease and without effort. This 2 combine togather in the sutta is knowns as 1st state of calm mind Important note: What is samadhi? In satipatthana vipasanna, Samadhi is actually short duration calms mind less hindrances. It cannot last long. Next what is 2nd samadhi? After vitaka, vichara arise, when the meditator with deligent continue on flowing with the breath(with knowledge of the 8 noble path which is effort, mindful, concentration)on the rising and falling motions of the abdomen, the sensations of mild tingling sensation of happiness begin to arise in the mind. Mindful meditator will feel it. This time with the support of vitaka and vichara, the mind now further develop in concentration with the arises of mild happiness known as piti in the sutta. So mild happiness perceived in the mind is the arising state of 2nd samadhi. So now you should know what is vitaka, vichara, piti. Now what is 3rd samadhi which is sukha? Sukha is another stronger mind state of happiness that are developed as one is able to stay focus on the object of meditation when confident in the practiced grows. One mind state start to experience confident and the happiness(piti) change to confident(sukha) as one continue mindful on the breath. This confident accompany by the mind states of happiness is the 3rd samadhi. What is 4th samadhi? With the confident in the ability to focus on the breath and the confident while exercising it,one with sadha now continueously focus on the object of meditation as usual this time accompany by happiness and confident there arise a sudden break away of no breathing. No breath, nobody only left concious. This is not the middle path of the practiced so it gets no where from here. This is not the middle way. Thus in this experience entering the 4th samadhi one will gradually return to the lower samadhi in between the 3rd and the 4th samadhi. This gets tricky and it was here many Meditation practice are unable to focus between mind and matter. When this happen, the mind swing greatly between the calmness(samadhi) and the disturbances(aggregates)and not able to be in upeka. Thus one now need to continue hands on practice to balance between the two ( samadhi and Aggregates hindrances) Once the meditation practiced is successful and in balance(effort, mindfulness, concentration) One begins to experience these Aggregates seeing it clearly as non self, which is stressful(dukkha) and there is nothing we can do to stop it immediately(anatha) but with the buddha instructions of practice (satipatthana)we begin to realised all these happening is impermanent (anicha). Further on continuous practice with samadhi and upeka and panna, one mindfuless will blossom fully and everything collapsed in a single mind moment as one enter the path freeing the mind from greed, hatred, delusion expericing the ceesation of Aggregates which cease nama rupa avijja This explaination is made very clear and it will be helpful for serious meditator striving to be free from the Aggregates ignorantly recognised as a SELF. Thus one now see clearly aggregates is non self. Suki hotu. Buddhang saranam gacchami

(This Go) Buddha had transcended birth and death. This go is based on observation and spiritual experience/sati sampajhana. Karuna haloed metta is the only path to transcend. This go is not a theory. This go is beyond the range of human powers and knowledge and is an empirical.

Without hearing true Dhamma you can become an Arahant or Ariya only if you are Sammasambuddha (Like Buddha Gotama) or Paccekabuddha, which is an extremely rare feat... Let Buddha Sasana sustain long, let every being be free from suffering!
