Cool
Amazing martial art!
Keep it up
Nice! You made unsuu very well
You made me better at taekwondo or karate
🥱
It threw the rod thru the block
how many starters u go thru?
50/50 on you seing this 6 yrs later lol but worth a shot, why use the maxima gas pedal? Currently having an issue where I get no throttle response from my end gen qr25de swap and I’m just curious does the pedal send different signals or?
I don’t quite remember. It was either because the stock pedal didn’t plug into the 2J Racing harness or the 350Z ECU didn’t read the signal from stock pedal.

So how’s it doing these days?
Too fuckin dope!
what was everything you needed besides vq?
Nice run. You have anymore videos?
Post more vids
How hard was the swamp
Hey, mine's the same color! Neat! I'm thinking about doing this but with a vq35 once the transmission goes on my stock b15. It's living on borrowed time anyway, so might as well have a plan for afterward. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thank you bro
As a lefty, I'm not happy to know that my phone has this capability but that I apparently don't have a way to invert the display to be worn on my right wrist and have the control buttons face the correct way.
Im facing the same problem....did u find out any solution?
Nicely done fellas.
nice. I just ordered a harness for my vq swap. also going 350z ecu.. you should definitely be putting more power down. numbers are really low. you should be around 240-260whp
Agreed. The tuner felt the motor should be putting down 260+whp. Unfortunately, the car had a clutch issue the night before we were supposed to get it tuned so we had to cancel. We'll be going back on the dyno hopefully next month and see how she does.
With the 350z ecu it will really open up.. yeah sounds like something isn't right. . How's compression on the engine?
All cylinders were right at 180psi. That was without oiling the cylinders down before checking.
That's odd because like I said earlier these cars untuned are making 240-260whp..
In my vq swapped sentra I'm passing up the new subaru sti, 350z lol

227HP / 217 TQ Short video, we only did baseline run and then discovered that there may be an issue if we overwrite the maps on the ECU. I'll post the dyno chart soon, nice flat torque curve. We got an Up-Rev license when we bought the 350z ECU, but need confirmation from 2J Racing (they put the tune on the ECU) that our local tuner can upload their own maps without causing issues. Tuning session is scheduled for next month, hopefully will have the issue squared away by then.
you have the original transmission? or what includes your swap?
Uses the stock SER Spec V 6-speed transaxle, but you have to get the maxima bell housing (it's actually half of the transaxle case). So you actually split the tranny and load the gear stacks onto the new bell housing and reassemble. You will need the proper upper oil pan be because the manual tranny bolts to part of the pan. We used a VQ out of a Quest minivan because we figured it wouldn't have been abused as badly as one from an Altima/Maxima, but the upper oil pan for the '06 wouldn't bolt to the manual tranny. (they came stock with an A/T) The pan off an '04 Quest was the same used on the manual tranny cars, so we used one of those and it worked great.
Adam Birnbaum I'm going to build mine shortly your help full tips thanks
I prefer the Maxima transmission. It's expensive, and I know it is supposedly the same except the final drive, but trust me it's not. It's A LOT nicer to shift. Feels way better.
sounds beautiful
Here’s the parts list (from what I can remember): From the boneyard : '06 VQ Engine from Quest / alternator w/harness plug / AC compressor / PS pump / '04 oil pan from Quest (upper and lower) / '05 maxima gas pedal / '05 maxima passenger axle brace / '03/'04 Pathfinder Cruise Control module From 2J-racing.com: Engine mount kit / fuel pump / lower rad hose / engine harness / bell housing / 2005 350Z ECU Ebay: stainless shorty headers (VQ30) / maxima flywheel and clutch / summit racing thermal switches 185 / 200 degree / 2 electric high flow rad fans / upper rad hose adapter (for fan thermal switches) Nissan: VQ fuel rail / CPS / bolts, springs, spacers for bell housing swap / clutch master / clutch slave We were able to use the PS hoses and one of the HVAC hoses from the QR. We had to have one custom HVAC hose made that mated a VQ and QR hose ends together. Important points - 1) The bellhousing is not really a bellhousing, its is actually half of the tranny case. What you are doing is splitting the transaxle, and reloading all of the gear stacks onto the new “bellhousing”, and then putting the old driver side half of the tranny case back on. This is not for the faint of heart. We needed to download the exploded view of both the VQ tranny and QR tranny to get this right. Even so, we had the tranny partially reassembled before we realized that one of the thrust pins (the one we were installing last), was actually a different length than the others we had put in. When we went back to the schematic, we discovered this one was supposed to go in first. We had to tear it all apart and start over. 2) The 2J harness is a must. It truly is plug and play. Except, there are four extra plugs on it which they don’t explain. I believe they are for the adjustable motor mounts that are stock on the Altima/Maxima. It would be nice if they would have removed them. Also, the alternator ground is part of the 2j harness, but the alternator plug is not. You need to splice the VQ alternator plug in place of the QR plug, which is still on the original QR harness. Tape off the original QR alternator ground and zip tie out of the way. The only problem is that the 2J harness took a long time to receive. We ordered it from 2J in December, and didn’t receive it until July. Hope this helps. If you decide to go with the 2J engine mount kit, let me know and I can send pics of the install. The pics 2J sent with the kit didn't make sense. You basically gut the front and rear mounts (cut out the rubber reinforced centers) but keep the driver side (tranny) and passenger side mounts intact.
Adam Birnbaum are you located in WA st???
can I use this same list for an 06 sentra automatic ?
Samir Wade Yes, should still work.
Samir Wade It should work but I don’t know what you would do to swap the bell housing on the automatic transaxle, or if your transaxle is the same as the Maxima. The Spec V had a heavy duty 6 speed that was stronger than the other Sentra trannies and could handle the torque of the VQ.
2j doesn't make a harness, Travis aka Tloof makes that plug and harness.
Can someone send me to a parts list that is required for this swap? I hope it's not too much trouble, but I wish to do this to my 04 Spec V.

@@kingdavid5237 Hey King. This looks like quite a lot of stuff. I recently had my first car shipped form my parents house to my new house here in Texas (I have 2 other Nissans, well an Infiniti and a 630rwhp 350Z). It's a '94 Nissan Sentra. I was thinking about rebuilding the 1.6 but some friends are saying it would be cheaper to VQ swap it but didn't know I would need all the parts you mentioned. Is it still cheaper and easier to do the VQ swap instead of just rebuilding my 4 cylinder (still runs well, too!)?
@@markdavidson1049 hell no , rebuilding the 4 cylinder would be way cheaper and easier
Nice. are you on the fb b15 sentra group
Its my son's ride, he is on b15.net. I don't know his handle though. It's been a fun project.
+Adam Birnbaum hit up 2jracing.com they can tune it for you and make it codeless.. buddy of mine has a spec v with vq35de with 4inch intake and bigger tb over 270whp on the dyno
looks good
Just have a few fault codes to clear and she'll be good to go.
