Ablut Henryk not being interesting... I must contest that point. Theres definitely more to.him than he lets on. If you fight him while he's still human he has some very interesting traits thay set him alart from other contestants. You arent able to ever run away from him once youre figbting him, it jjst wint work, and on top of that he ALWAYS gets the first turn. His knife deals bleeding and infection damage and he attacks twice per turn. On top of thay hes one of fhe only characters in the game to kick when his arms are disabled. He's way more vicious and formidable when pushed to violence than i think anyone expects of him.

Reginald just saying “I grow in power.” after THAT is hilarious, I love how the party always just has the same phrase after every fight because it can be in such different contexts every time.

i feel that tanaka would learn from other characters as we know hes a fast learner because he learnt Boxing from Marcoh and he did fuck up needles when they fought So i think he'd Utilise multiple skills like if he learnt how to use arms from Levi or Learn to Craft useful items from Abella (but tbh it sounds like the book system)

What about for samarie she sacrifices health for upgrading spells further? She would definately be a caster. Her whole poor health to commune with the gods thing could be played in at ritual circles. Reduced max health for stat upgrades and mind and spell damage upgrades.

Marcoh as Brock works so well since both men were athletes that had their careers ruined via death in the ring. Marcoh with his boxing opponent and Brock with his deaf teammate.

On one hand Tanaka’s skill tree is just stat boosts and could affect his history and early game playing. On the other hand if Tanaka doesn’t become playable I’m going to dox Miro

I think the best way to apply Caligura into the game is to, as disturbing as this is, embrace the role of *playing Caligura.* Like, the game makes you feel bad for playing him. Literally just a vile, disgusting monster who does exclusively terrible things to everyone. You’re essentially playing a slasher villain.

What if to make up for his lacking Soul, tanaka gets the chance to learn skills from other contestants, without needing their soul. Learning bare-fisted from marcoh, maybe get engrave from marina. Like, either done as specific events or a new skill that lets him maybe skip forward one "rest" and gain a skill from training with a party member.

Honestly the most interesting characters are the ones you can't play. Tanaka can literally evolve into a fighter, August and Pav are insiders with knowledge on the story. Lastly Caligura is cool because you can actually play the actual festival. This game lacks a lot in the endings, no ending of this game feels definitive like the previous game.

I think tanaka could start with the lowest damage on funger 2 but at the end he gets to do the biggest damage maybe using weapons thay other person cant use like the samurai armor and katana in the museum because he is japanese after all.

I really love the ideas for Tanaka and Samarie! In the same way that you really have to pick your battles in the early to mid-game, having to carefully pick your investments as Tanaka to have good money is really clever. I think an extra skill Tanaka could get based on this hypothetical idea is a passive that increases his damage the more money he has, or a single attack which uses shillings as ammo but is really strong. Just interesting ways to motivate you to keep your money up and use it only when necessary.

Was litteraly on my way to the tower,after killing the last moonschorched contestant and this lil shit destroyed 2 hours of progress.
