International recording artist Herb Ohta, Jr., is considered to be one of today's most prolific `ukulele masters. Influenced by Jazz, R&B, Latin and Brazilian music, he puts his stamp on Hawaiian music by pushing the limits of tone and technique on this beautiful instrument. The son of `ukulele legend "Ohta-san," he started playing at the age of three, and teaching at the age of 9. He now shares the music of Hawai'i, and the beauty of the 'ukulele with people around the world, performing and conducting instructional workshops. This Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner (Hawaiian equivalent to the Grammy) and four-time Hawai'i Music Award winner effortlessly translates the beauty and culture of Hawai'i through his creative expression of music. With nine solo albums, eight duet albums in circulation, and contributions on more than 40 recordings, he is well on his way to matching his father's legacy.

I wrote this song while on tour in Arizona. I came home without a title. I performed several times at Lēʻahi Hospital, a care home facility. The residents there liked the song, so I titled it "Lēʻahi Morning". I recorded this song on my recording, "My ʻUkulele World".

It reached number 47 on the Oricon weekly charts and the band performed the song on NHK's 53rd annual Kōhaku Uta Gassen in 2002. Herb first heard this song while touring Japan. He fell in love with the melody and the meaning of the song. Herb had the honor of recording this song for Victor Japan back in 2009.

Written in Japan on tour. Herb's friend Pupu Yuzawa was hosting he & Jon Yamasato in Utsunomiya. Early one morning walking around the city, Herb looked around and noticed no automobiles on the road and a few people exercising. There was a sense of peacefulness and happiness. After he returned back tot the hotel room, Herb wrote this song. Maluhia means peaceful.

"Magic Castle" is a Korean Pop Ballad. While Herb was touring South Korea with KoAloha 'Ukulele Company in 2012, he heard this song while at the venue in the background. He asked his managers to get him the sheet music of the song and found out that it's a very well known song in South Korea.

"Like A Child" is a Korean Pop Ballad. While Herb was touring South Korea, he heard this song while riding in a car. Herb really liked the melody of the song. This video has been uploaded onto different websites in South Korea and currently is creating a buzz!
