    What is that you put on your work table it looks like a big piece of leather glued down or is that some type of other material? Interesting

    I like their work etc, but their prices are ridiculous . 100.00 for a dog lead. 100.00 for a VERY basic belt . They would sell more if they are a better price base .

    • @poppamonk
      @poppamonk 8 лет назад

      I do leather work friend. My belts are from 16 oz Herman Oak I could understand it if was a tooled belt etc. With a Name. but the quality of their belts are NOT worth 100 bucks. but they can set their price at what they want. Kinda like jean makers that set their price at 300.00 -400.00 bucks that are no better made than American made jeans that cost 60. If people are stupid enough to pay 400 bucks for jeans just because of a brand name. more power to them .

    • @poppamonk
      @poppamonk 8 лет назад

      My jeans are made in a shutdown Levi's plant in Georgia and everything on them is Made in the USA brother. As for the belts they pump them out pretty quick. They are simple belts . Nothing special.. cut a strap dye the edges. Pop 5 holes in it put the buckle on it and a keeper. I own a Leather shop friend. More power to them. As for community. I buy local goods from mom and pop shop. I don't shop at China Mart. AKA Walmart

      Leather paint and maybe just a soap. Sometimes I think they use a wet sponge of water. You can Google it too.

    I make custom leather goods as well. The way they made these belts is nearly exactly how I would make mine. In my opinion, this means the end product is of high quality and will last a lifetime.

    great work! I got a little tip for you. When you cut the straight edge for your straps put the leather on a table whit a straight edge and cut of the things that stick out to mutch and just use the strapcutter whit the table edge as a guide. This will give you a good straight edge, and you don't need to use the ruler and knife.
