    Music for 6167 is from Indigo Park, and for 2317, its from Mario. This is just for fun, so please dont copyright me or take it down... also shout out to my friend that made this wonderful video!

      Well considering its not active anymore. just the sound of it in the far distance, i would say its a haunting whistle because it is such an underrated beast that everyone has pretty much forgotten about it or has never even heard and seen the locomotive and its siblings before ever.

    I'm an old guy now, 83, but back in college, I rode behind both locomotives. I'll tell you a story. A buddy and I went down to the Spadina Street roubdhouse the evening before a fan trip in the early 1960's. The hostler was just starting the initial fire and planned to spend the night until 6167 was ready for the morning. He was actually glad to see us and BS because this poor guy was going to be very bored very soon...lol. Meanwhile, I crawled out the fireman's side front door and walked along the side of the engine. The next day's trip was wonderful. When we arrived back in Toronto after riding in the open baggage car, my buddy says come on. Let's go see if we can ride back to the roundhouse in the cab. I looked at him with disbelief. However, we went up to the cab and asked if we could ride back and the fireman and engineer said yes. Guess we were a couple of young kids in his mind. So we uncoupled from ther train and we rode in the cab of 6167. I timidedly asked if I could blow the whistle and wes given the OK. I seranaded all of Toronto with my artestry...lol. fond memories. Thanks.

      Thank you for telling me your story! I absolutely love and appreciate it, im 18 but i wish i could go back in time and see 6167 for myself up and running. In fact I always wanted to own 6167 and to have it up and running just like Harry did with his locomotive 6060! If only i could have 6167 as my engine/best friend but hey i can only dream, im really sad that they are on static display just to deteriorate because of the elements outside.. really wish that they were inside a museum or something. Also thank you again for your comment! I love to hear stories like this

    If this is the one that's in one of the museums either in Chicago or New York I got to see it a few years back when they were transporting it with a newer engine it was an incredible sight to see beautiful locomotive

      i dont think any of the U2 class steam locomotives were ever on display in the usa, and 6167 is displayed in Ontario with some of its siblings. CN never gave the 4-8-4s away

      @SoldierFox1393 10 месяцев назад

      you may be talking about the GTW locomotives that took inspiration from CNs 4-8-4s design
