Oops, watching on iptv on 1/1/25 at 3 am
Just watching you build a planter box, ? and I'm wondering, what are the windows that open to the inside, of the second floor of your shop, are they just an opening to the outside of the shop or ?
Hello. Thanks for watching. I'm ot sure which windows you mean, but all of them are just windows looking outside, no passages to another room or anything. Happy New Year
Elvis left the garage😉
did you design the mold for the lamination?
IN a way. I saw a net the size I wanted and traced it's shape out. I then made a form based on it.
jenkum facé
also use them to cover small chisels and awls-- still free
Absoloutely. Thanks for watching
Glad you are using that freebie belt cleaner. Recycling centers give them away or a wine drinking neighbor. I attach mine on a dowel. Easy peasy -Craig
You bet!
Yeah, I think I'd rather pay a little for one of the others than having to watch my fingers with the cork. I'd be afraid to use one more than once. - Chris
They do wear out quickly Lol Thanks for watching
Thanks!
You’re welcome Thanks for watching
Do you think you could use it to vacuum ashes? I’m looking to use to clean a smoker and for fireplace.
Thanks for asking. I'm not 100% sure. Ashes are tough on most vacuums, but this has a different type of filter. I used mine to vacuun up some wet goop. The filter was dirty and sticky but it dried and I was able to brush it clean no problem. It's not foam, which is good. It's a small container, so you'dhave to empty it a few times. I'm going to say it will do the job. I wish you could test one first, but I still feel confident it will. Let me know how it works! Best Steve
Very nice. My wife's family is "Norwedish": Grandpa from Sweden, Grandma from Norway. I always appreciate the back story of the piece, and your choice of projects that are reasonable for us non-experts. Thanks Steve!
Thank you for watching. I really appreciate it. Cheers!
How do you like the saw? Did you have to make any upgrades like the cast iron table or the fence?
HI Scott Thanks for watching and reaching out. I like the saw. It is a contractors saw though, bit so far so good. I've only had it for a couple of years. I must admit-even though I;m a woodworker, I hate tuning up machines. I just use them. That being said- there wasn't much I had to adjust to the saw. It worked well right out of the box.
As far as the fence goes. It's good. Again- it's a contractors saw but it locs well and stays in place. I've never had to adjust the alignment at all.
How is the fence? I have a rigid 4512 table saw and the fence sux
Have one... Use it all the time... Great product!!
I agree
Hi Steve! Will you be making the plans for this chair available? Looks like an interesting project.
Hello. Thanks so much for watching. I really appreciate it. YES. I will be making plans for the chair. It takes me awhile. I'm working on the plans for the projects from the new season shortly. i should have the chair plans complete and available on the website by mid-February. Thanks again. Keep checking at www.thegaragewithstevebutler.com Happy New Year
I had seen the tip before and tried with some of my old shoes but it didn't work. May be I need to look for what you mentioned - crepe rubber. Of course, I don't know what crepe rubber is. Hopefully I will be able to identify it. If you have more tips on how to identify it that would be really useful. Thanks for taking the time to make and share this video.
It's a little hard to describe. Older style shoes like Hush Puppies and Wallabye style have crepe rubber soles. The rubber isn't smoothe, it's kind of pimplely. Sorry. Not very excacting. Thnks for watching
In an earlier video of this SAME SAW . You said it was a 1 1/2 HP. Now you say it’s. 1 3/4 hp. Which is it ?
It’s a 1 3/4 I made a mistake earlier
Great tip Steve!
Thank you. And thanks for watching
Thank you for the tip! Cheers
Forrest woodworker 2 does it all. Can't get a better smoother blade that cuts so well a 1.5hp table says runs like it is 3hp.
I live Forrest blades. I agree with you. Thanks for watching. Happy holidays
Add some nice edge banding and you have a very nice piece.
Thanks so much. Thanks for watching the episode. Cheers
Over the last 10 years I have purchased mostly 10”Forrest and Dimar blades for plywood and Melamine as well as rip and crosscut use on a Delta 34-450 (Rockwell Canada) cabinet saw and they all do the job but what is on my saw 90% of the time is a Ridge Carbide combination blade. As you have said, the right blade for the right job. My shop is only 12’ x 10’ so space is important and the table saw doubles as an assembly table.👨🦳👍🇨🇦
Thanks for reaching out. Thanks for watching. Happy holidays
True. Blades make all the difference. I run a variety of rip , combo and high tooth blades depending on material and type of cut. I also advocate running thicker blades if the saw can do it. Thick blades have less distortion and cut truer and straighter.
I agree. Thanks so much for watching. Best to you and yours for the holidays
I CANNOT help myself. I just watched the video of you building a 2 person "Outdoor " table........YOU ARE A FLIGGIN HACK !!!!!
Sorry you feel that way, but as long as someone inexperienced gets motivated to try their hand at woodworking, I did my job. Thanks for watching
@SteveButlersGarage I think it's more like me feeling Envy Cuz you have a show and I don't !!! Sniff Sniff ....!

Thank you for watching
Great project, Steve! Very innovative.
Thanks so much. I appreciate you watching
When is your program returning to the Create chanel?
Thanks for watching. It runs on PBS first, then Create TV gets dibs on it. That being said- I'm not sure. Probably in january

Will the 40 volt battery work on it?

Order placed!
Thank yuo very much!
Awesome Steve !!!!
excellent!
Miss you guys so much
Why aren't there more reviews on this saw
Thank you for looking at my videos. My apologies. Quiye honestly, I forget to do a tool review. I'm always focused on a project video and just forget to talk about the tools I use, There's lots of review type videos out there. It's a good contractors saw. Also- if you should ever need it, Rikon has the best customer service I've spoken to. Thanks again
I like the suggestion as well. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you. I appreciate it
That is a great idea to align the line vertically for cutting. Thanks for the info.
You’re welcome Thanks for watching
