That bowl of fruit looked divine. Curry looks banging too! If you like Indian food you should checkout “Rainbow Plant Life” recipe’s. She makes amazing food in general but her indian dishes are banging. Another good video, I definitely understand and miss that feeling of “returning to home.” Nearing 5 months of full time on the road and 100% miss the moments like this video hanging out with people closest to me.

I want to see all these big parks like Yosemite but the insane fees are what stop me. I wish we could check a box on our taxes at the end of the year to say “put my part into National Parks and not into making bombs and weapons to kill people” and then my taxes could cover all my National Park entrance fees for the year 😂 Fun video though! Super cool family tradition of yearly camping! The Ukulele sesh was sick too :) I had a friend in high school who played the Uke, it was always fun getting stoned and him playing that “Riptide” song that was popular back then. I need a little instrument like that for the road.
@@KamrynWalks omg forreallll! Whenever I hit the road full time I’m going to get the national parks pass which is $80 for the whole year I believe and unlimited entries. What’s great about the west though is that all the national forests are free and still just as beautiful! And thanks 🙏 riptide was the first song I learned back in the day haha. I want to get this small hand drum called “djembe” next.
@@SamanthaTheTrippyTraveler I was gifted the parks pass but a lot of places it’s only half off entry. The djembe looks cool that would be fun to play too.

@@SamanthaTheTrippyTraveler Some are free though! But a few that I’ve tried told me it’s half off. Some places are ran by different departments and stuff so just have to do your research.

@@KamrynWalks yes having portable power is so convenient I used it for so many things so far and it’s been great! Also, one of my aunts has started watching vanlife videos and she watches your channel too!

I love wood-fired pizza. My favorite pizza spot is Pizza Verde in Fort Worth, TX. They do wood-fired and the owner, Landon, makes some cool ass unique pizzas. Also, nothing like making a meal with family and enjoying together. Wholesome :)

@@SamanthaTheTrippyTraveler 100%, check it out. My favorite pizza from there is the ‘Chimichurri’ It has chimichurri sauce, ‘steak, sprinkled, potato chips, and a pesto drizzle. But if i’m ordering pizza in it’s gonna be jalapeño, black olives, pineapple, and pepperoni. Veganified of course haha

@@SamanthaTheTrippyTraveler I’ve been vegan since August of 2020, about to hit 4 years! I haven’t yet this trip but in 2021 we went to Colorado for a snowboarding trip and ate at this spot in Breckenridge that had two great vegan options, it wasn’t a vegan spot though. Definitely going to visit there again when we go, I forgot the name of it but I know where it’s at 😂

Cool having a family unit like that, definitely cherish it. That’s sick how your bed folds into a seat/couch not only for the inside but to look out the back too. We saw a shit load of people paddle boarding at the Trout Lake in Colorado and have wanted to try paddle boarding too ever since.

Why bring a firewood when you'll already in the woods?
the woods can be less fruitful than you think lol it isn’t minecraft, maybe it just rained recently or maybe it’s just preference. Takes a lot of time and energy to collect and process wood, and when you have firewood you might as well just bring it with you

@@SamanthaTheTrippyTraveler We just made it into Colorado from New Mexico three days ago. Currently in Durango for a few days and then traveling up and west through Colorado. After that we are doing Utah then Arizona then Cali, Washington, Oregon. Not entirely sure about timeframes but plan to be on this long trip over the next year to year and a half.

Whenever I have to go through a gate on a trail it always reminds me of Jurassic Park 3 for some reason, lol. Btw since your hiking boots are falling apart I have a recommendation of Norda 001. Been using them for a few months and I love them. Pricey but you can find used on marketplaces.
