    For the record, Drexler was very much past his prime when he went from Portland to Houston. That's kind of why he was traded.

    It's not the 3s. It's not the analytics. The average, casual fan doesn't care. It's the supermax and the CBA. They guarantee that the best players in the game will be in bad teams and struggle. The fans need these players to win. They need to see the 2-3 best players make the finals or the conference finals every year, but they don't, because their teams can't afford good rosters.

    Im so sick of the, "players are better now" nonsense. If thats the case, why can't they go a possession without travelling? If that's the case, since they're so much 'stronger and faster', why are they flopping around everywhere. If that's the case, WHY ARENT THEY PLAYING GAMES????

    Pau was what? A 1x nba all star when he got to the lakers. He wasn’t even better than a k-love, a chris Bosh, definitely not AD etc. but they treat him that way. They overrate pau gasol to discredit kobe

    Players are definitely not more skilled these days. They are less fit and need load management with better recovery resources. They are soft and don't have basketball skills they only have athleticism. The league is screwed and viewership proves fans hate the current game and the pathetic players who want to do podcasts more than play while making more money than ever but complaining to the everyday person.

    “I refuuuuuse to believe that” Why? That’s what fans are telling anyone who cares, but you know better do you? Players were more competitive in the 90s, it meant something…now these pampered, entitled, load-managing Americans count their money and rep their brand…only the Euros still care but US media are too xenophobic and want an athletic black American to come and be the “face” of the league to save them…well guess what, analytics and 3s Made them obsolete 😂😂😂

    I feel like what is killing the nba is parity. Teams feel much more close to each other. But, it feels like the best teams are not as impressive as before, instead feeling like everybody looking better. There’s no team that attracts the casual fan. It feels like the only thing that changes is the jersey, everybody else is the same. I remember a nike soccer comercial where players played against gray clones of themselves, but the clones were “perfect players”, there was no personality. This is what the nba feels like. If you watched one game, you watched all of them

    "Go woke, go broke." That's the NBA's biggest problem. They went all in on the BLM crap, and it hurt their reputation. The NFL ratings are down for the same reason. ESPN ratings are down for the same reason. America is sick of this woke BS. Sports decided to get political, and we decided to move on. Also, the best NBA player is white and one of the best WNBA players is white, and that's caused a lot of unnecessary division between normal basketball fans and anti-white racist fans. So that hasn't helped either.

    The NBA has a genuine problem on its hands. People are saying they need to stop milking Steph and and LeBron but what they fail to realize is that it’s not like the nba hasn’t tried marketing their new players to get the next Steph and LeBron. Just look at the last couple drafts. Look at Ja and Zion. People are quick to forget but they were pushing Zion HARD. Ja honestly had a lot going for him to be the next super popular player but he threw it away with the gun stuff. Then look at Melo Ball. They also pushed him HARD. Look at Anthony Edwards. He’s probably the best thing they have going for them right now honestly but they didn’t push him at all. The point being is that it’s not like they haven’t tried to market these players. It’s just that the new era of best players, Jokic, Giannis, Luka etc. just aren’t very marketable. It’s really looking like Wemby might be the guy. All in all what I’m trying to say is that isn’t really the leagues fault that they’re at where they’re at. They’ve tried to market the next stars but due to either bad luck or the player just not sticking, they’ve yet to be successful. I personally think Ja was being set up to be that guy and it was working then he threw it all away.

    Jordan played with the wizards for two years. Miss me with blaming player movement shit. Content is consumed differently nowadays. That’s all. No one watches tv anymore. NFL has higher rating because of fewer games. And the NBA expanding globally and players getting paid more than ever. Only thing that ruin the nba is older salty players bitching about players and shitting on the product daily to glorify THEIR “back in the day” shit

    I find this idea that you need some big star to make big numbers such a typically American viewpoint. Supporters being so overly focused on individuals over the teams themselves is one of the biggest problems. The other problem in my opinion being the state of the NBA ruleset. The FIBA ruleset is in my opinion better in that it makes the sport more interesting to watch.

  • @DrRestezi

    SGA with OKC ticks a lot of boxes--IF they win a chip. Same with Wemby if SAS can maybe make the finals in 2 or 3 years from now. SGA vs Wemby would be pretty epic: 2 polar opposites, both international--but one clearly more Americanish than the other, with a similar drive to win. Unfortunately, I don't see much hope for the media centers of LAL and NYK facing in the finals anytime soon--unless they can nab either of these guys. Right now they're 2nd round, maybe 3rd teams with some luck, at best.

    I’m a primary fan of two leagues nhl/nba and all the problems the nba has are because winning factors for teams are not fun to watch when a player in the nhl scores fans go crazy even if they missed a few shots before watching a team come down court and go 3/12 from the 3 is not fun the formula for fans having fun watching is not rooted in threes but winning is that’s the problem

    The NBA ratings are extremely misleading,The NBA is a lot more popular than its ever been the reason the ratings wont reflect that is cause so many of us can't actually afford to pay for NBA subscription services and would rather use free streaming services which the NBA doesn't acknowledge like sites like streameast and so on, especially for those of us who arent located in the USA ...

  • @Clout_chasing_boy

    We need a player with swagger and charisma as the face of the league. So that automatically rules out dorks like wemby, jokic and tatum. Great, great players but not the face of nba. If nba wants its viewership to fall even more go ahead and make wemby or joker the face and see what happens😂. We need a jordanesque player, atleast personality wise. Atleast a kobe type player will do too. There has to be passion and media presence. Yes, aura is DEFINITELY needed. Make regular season games a dogfight, build back heated rivalries. No more buddy buddy crap. Passion, personality is sorely missing.

    • @Anthonydu01630
      @Anthonydu01630 22 дня назад

      Wemby is super charismatic what are you talking about lol, Jokic and Tatum i agree, but Wemby’s game is super entertaining we have never seen someone like him, he’s super smart, has good sense of humor, humble, a man of the people, he’s chill of the court but a killer on it, and he’s a 7’5 real life Giant who speak English better than most Americans… There’s a reason even before he was an NBA player Lebron called him an Alien, and KD, Curry, Giannis, Dame, Jokic, Doncic ect were all in awe of him. And Wemby is also biracial, so both black and white people can relate to him, he has everything and that’s why the NBA is pushing him.
