Thank you! Cheers!
it looks like hes going to a construction sight to do underground carpentry like this guy is the walter white of epoxy tables
Walter white of stain grade paneling and slats!
*takes forever setting up* “Okay, time for lunch”
I like Festool for quality but WTF do you need a digital read out for a depth guage for? and why battery operated? if your working on a site that doesnt have power fitted yet you are not doing ANYTHING that needs that pricy a saw, that hing is only for FINE woodwork
@@stevenr6397 don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.
@@amc_carpentry I cant knock the quality but i'm just not seeing the point. it's 4 times what i paid for my table saw, with a smaller table a less powerful motor and a inch less on the cut depth the only thing i see as a plus is the slide which I can see being very useful but still not worth it
It’s definitely not the table saw you leave on site for ripping sheets of plywood, 2x’s, etc… this saw is more meant for Millwork installs, woodworking, deficiency workers - where you’d me on the move most days. The saw cuts extremely accurate & very clean cuts.
If YOUR tradesman turns up with Festool tools, then you are being overcharged, they have to have some way of finding the money they spent.
Enjoy your Ryobi tradesman…
festool can save conciderable time in SOME situations. They will also likely save considerable time in cleanup since they take dust collection very seriously.
@@Christopher_T_Paul taken me 20 years as a Carpenter to build up this set of fine finishing tools. They are worth the price, my clients are charged fairly, & they don’t mind paying for craftsmanship on their custom homes.
@@TheJefferson well said
What are the mortgage payments on that bad boy?
Not too bad.. got a good rate.
That’s wicked nice
Ooft I like that!
Dope song
😂😂
Dude clearly knows what he is doing but that amount of Effort for that is absolutely dumb and looks dumb as well. 🤦♂️
You did it! But no one will ever know why.
I’d be super stoked too. That’s awesome. The only favour I’d ask of festool is that they switch from metric to imperial to suit our funny way of doing things
What were you thinking???? Jesus! Stupid is as stupid does.
@@johnnyyahooandthelaughingh3025 My mama always said, 'Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.
my god that's such a terrible choice by the homeowner.
@@MrLavatis out of my control!
@@amc_carpentry Have some fucking pride in your work man... If you know it will look shite, say so and refuse to do a crap job...
Moving the switches to other spot would be better.
@@brhino9466 agreed.. but this is what the homeowner wanted.. sooo haha
You need someone to do those stairs for you, Lic 979979
I love my K PEC , my buddies motor went out. He sent it back after warranty. They charge them $875 but he eventually fixed it can’t be without it, nice tool,
This guy is definitely a virgin
Nice video! I'm working on a staircase not too dissimilar. Would love to have a voiceover with more info (see below). :-) It looks like you have gaps at the top: was that just so you could install the slats? How do you prevent them from coming loose? What do you use to fill the top gap? Caulking? Any videos/information about the bottom casing that sits on the diagonal? Is that 6 pieces of mitered cut material? Glued on, brad nailed? What material are these? Are you using raw stock, or did you purchase pre-finished slats from somewhere?
@@jpap123 thanks! 👍🏼 The gaps at the top of the slats are a design detail.. 1/4” shadow line.. They are held in by Festool dominos. On final install I will add a little bit of PL premium to the domino mortises. I’ll see if I have a video of the raked wall oak cap, which the slats sit on.. It was a solid oak which I mitred, glued, & 23g pin nailed together. It is fastened to the framing with PL Max & a few well place 23g pin nails. The slats were made by a local millwork company. They are long lengths of 5/8” plywood, with 1/8” oak veneer. They all came long, & I cut them to fit.
@@jpap123 I just posted a video of the oak cap install. Let me know if you have any other question always happy to help out if I can.
@@amc_carpentry That's some very impressive detail! :D Thanks for the quick reply. Love your work and thanks again for sharing with us.
@@amc_carpentry Just found it here (in case someone else wants a direct link): ruclips.net/user/shortszuKI8yOyzPw Looks very well put together, esp with the in-place dry fit. I see how you were very strategic with your nail placement. I see you put a lip on the bottom part: is that so the floor guys can route around your cap, so it anchors it to the floor rather than float above it? Shorts are v trendy with the music and timelapse. If you ever have time to do a voiced tutorial over regular speed video, I'd love to learn from your experience. Thanks again for sharing!
Thank you! No worries!
Looks nice. Talented finish carpentry.
Thank you 🙌🏼
Handsaw would have been quicker!
Not as accurate. Haha
How much?
For the saw & the dust extractor?
white oak looks alot like doug fir when its 2x4 dimension
@@matthewquirk7006 until you cut it! This handrail is 2”x 1 1/2”

Cool staircase, never seen one like that
The most boring process
Hoover wasn’t on.?
