Other video shows needing to cut the plug end off and find power and ground under the dash. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO THIS.
There are accessory plugs under the dash already that plug direct into the KT harness.
Hope this helps. Didn’t find it on YT before and my local Volvo service manager didn’t know about these plugs either.

Lost my clutch and stuck in gear in bush I broke front brake hose off and belt came off now both clutch and brake pedals are soft ,silly question but is the brake reservoir connected to clutch I can't move it
How do I fill the fluid for the hydraulic clutch? I'm getting the cylinder replaced but need to fill the fluid to make it until my appt
Ive been having no crank no start issues with my jk. Someone said it is more than likely the clutch interlock switch that needs replacing. I had the battery alternator and startor tested and all passed. I thought it may be the TIPM, but a texas shop said no. Any of you guys had this issue? Typically i have to wait and itll start back up again.
10 mechanics where asked what was the worst vehicle purchase nine out of 10 said jeep
Been looking for a video to do this damn thing. I’m replacing the brake booster but of course manual has this dumb cylinder.
Thanks for this vid. Every time I have work on this stupid thing I watch the first 10 seconds of this and I instantly feel better knowing I'm not alone out there. 😂
Hahahahaha. That’s funny. I had to go back and watch the first 10 seconds to remember what I said.
When I pulled the hydraulic line out of the old slave, there was no little rubber cap. I did it slow are carefully and I'm certain it didn't fly off and roll away. I looked inside and even smashed the slave open with a hammer and it wasn't there. The boot was torn on the old one though. I inserted the line into the new slave, removed the master cylinder cap and pumped it by hand until it had pressure. Then I bolted it up and pressed the clutch about 50 times. Jeep was parked facing up hill. I then put the cap back on and drove it around the block. It works perfectly fine. I checked the slave and no leaks. My question to anybody and everybody is, has anyone experienced this also? Not having the little rubber cap? I haven't driven it far yet so if it starts leaking I know why. But so far so good and it's interesting that there was no cap present. 🤷♂️ Does anyone know the part number for the hydraulic line? Just incase.
You save my life men. Tanks
awesome post, thank you
Thanks very much for posting! This was super helpful.
Still no RUclips video for it (least for a JK)...'til yours! Thanks man 👌🏽 How long did it take you overall, n what did you struggle the most on?
Lost the clutch pedal in my 13 JKUR 8 months ago and it was the slave cylinder. Just lost it again today and the slave looks fine so I’m guessing it’s my master, but it’s not leaking. I definitely have no pedal though... damned Jeeps. You’re right though... this is the only JK clutch master cylinder video on RUclips.
💪👏🏻
Gtfo no way they actually made that it’s like car companies don’t know how to make cars
Thank you
Thank you! What cables did you use? Do you have part number by chance or the link which one to buy?
This has to be the worst car repair video ever
Go make your own video. It’s easy.
Atleast he put something out that shows what needs to be done.
First Jeep, purchase pre-owned, Rubicon, stupid clutch squeaks and feels like it binds.. replacing this, as i can't figure out what the hell else it could be, shifts fine, but that binding feeling when it's hot, sucks ass.. Rather do the work that even under warranty deal with the dealerships.
Thanks!! Great help.
I have 2017 hyundai elantra manual trans. can't even replaced my shift knob because of that click when you reverse.
Bro i feel you i got the same car just automatic
Fucking perfect. Finally, I find this video. Jeeps leak making me replace the master cylinder and possibly the tube, but I was weary to attempt without a little guidance. Appreciate you man
Good video. I used a different platform (Verizon Connect) and they have the same adapter. Easier to remove the front panel instead of fishing for the power supply. Please make sure to use the DL1 not the DL3 labeled resistor as this will miss data. This is for the side you are connecting the resistors.
Thanks for the vid! I think what broke on mine was the connector where the pedal hooks up to the master cylinder plunger. It still needed to be replaced.
Dang that’s the same problem I have right now
My seals failed on mine today while in traffic, so I couldn't let it stop. Luckly I was able to get it into a couple gears with a little southern charm🤫. The signals🚦were in my favor, so she it home safely - thank God. Ordered another clutch master. Still wouldn't give up on my JK, but she does nickle and dime me🤪. Whatta Father's Day. Thanks for the video😁👍🇺🇸. OlllllllO
Roughly how many miles did you have on your jeep to when this part failed?
@@michaelw.5921 Maybe 200 or so. It's those plastic inserts seals on the line. Quadrarec replaced the line, but every now and then, it will still leak. I apply a little pressure to push it into the master cylinder, and that seems to stop the leak. Doing a motor swap thru Motech here soon, and switching to an automatic.
lol dont ever buy one, you will be wrenching for life!
Ain't that the fucking truth!
This works for a 2016 Hyundai Elantra too. Thanks!
how do you replace an 2014 Hyundai sonata shifter knob?
Thank you so much, I pryed and poked at this shifter for a half an hour.
Thanks a lot bro 😂
Haha! I bet I'll smack myself in the nose! Thanks!!
Hell yea thank you
Thanks man saved my ss
Good job! Thank you I was searching everywhere trying to figure this out!
God bless u lol
