I grew up in Cromwell, CT. I had the honor of knowing Mr. Osterling, his wife Millie, and and his children. Sherry Lynn, Roger, Barry, and Greg.
Played this for conference band, such a fun piece.
Happy harvest!
Amazing song but I feel like one mor quarter note at then end of the same pitch would make it even better
Yes!

@@RonBand01 There was always one nut in the band who play the stinger, even though it's not part of the score.

Bravo! Festive and old world.
I played this in high school (ca. 1969). This band plays it REALLY well. Going way beyond just getting the notes right.
You played that in 1969?? We’re still playing this in 2021. a classic across ages
@@edwardchen2141 Indeed great music is timeless.
Hey man, if you're ever in Genesee County, Michigan, you have to check out a Genesee Wind Symphony concert. The conductor Doug Burtch is a great guy and knows his stuff. And the members know their stuff too. They mainly consist of retired and current band directors and college students.
What coincidence! That was the year I played it in high school. We memorized it and played it in a several parades and at state concert competition. We never sounded that good but my memory might be a bit hazy since it’s been a while.
I played it in 1966, Lewiston High School, Lewiston, Maine.
How can you not like Bandology?
I always loved the song but playing it with as a pain in the a..
@@zekeyeager1756 You are not wrong
