Nicely played! I am trying to learn the maqama and i hear Hijaz on D with Nahawand and a little B natural on top, then Saba on D, then Ajam on Bb, then hijaz on high C, then back to the Bb ajam and then D saba, then hijazkar on D? Am i close?

Sounds great, but it would be nice to know the string gauge and the actual tuning he's using, instead of him simply playing it. I've just got a zenne oud (I have two full sized ones, a beautiful Egyptian in Arabic tuning C to C, and a Syrian electric with a Turkish scale, in Conservatory tuning). I have no idea what string gauge this thing takes, and what tuning to use for it. More information would be useful.
