Yeah those esc's are super power hungry and can make the battery voltage dip enough to trigger the low voltage cutoff, especially on long WOT pulls in the grass. You can solve this by running a higher c rating battery like many have said or turn off the low voltage cutoff on the ESC and monitor it using a lipo alarm/battery voltage meter. Sick video man. Love the vorteks

They cost too much. But traxxas has replaced all my old batteries and most for free. So that brought the cost down to normal/cheap. They also charge and balance perfectly on other chargers. So you totally aren’t pulled into their charging system. Starting out go for Traxxas! Great warranty, and quality. Traxxas is priced high. But with time and the warranty I make my money back and feel good about it.

Just don’t do punch setting 5. Blew a front driveshaft 30 seconds in. 😂 😢 backed down to 4 but might go back to 3 if I break another.

I have a question cause i'll have my first traxxas slash 4x4 vxl today and i want to know if i can buy the battery at the beggining of the video and use the original charger and wont damage the motor in the rc car of wathever. I will need to change something in the car to use the battery?

with the brushed model you now that you can take out the center driveshaft and make it rear wheel drive, than it drifts much better.

3S in Louisiana requires an ESC fan and a motor heatsink and fan.

Put an RPM front bumper on it and drive it. If you've got the money, put long GTR shocks on the front and xx long GTR shocks on the back with Tekno ET410 springs. Other than that, replace parts as they break. When you want to go faster upgrade to 3s brushless. Continue to replace parts as they break. Nobody seems to break the same stuff.

doesnt silicone both displace water, protect against dirt, release dirt and also grease bearings a little bit?

These chassis are very poor tho I upgrading mine as much as I can .I fit brace and Chinese metal bumper s on chassis

Mit drive shaft are awesome I have them on most my rc's only broke 2 with ruff bashing

naaaaa, why spending on a garbage, only thing worth spending is lcg chassis and sterring servo, that's all... get the 2bls brushless, put servo and lcg and that's it. If it's to spend, do it in a better car... there is absolutely no point in spending in a slash.

Other than the alum shock caps and tires, most of this is not needed if you stick with 2 cell which is more than enough for this platform.
