I’d like to mention there are no statistics that prove the majority of abortions are used as birth control. I had a feeling I knew how this sermon would go, and it went that way. And unfortunately this was done many years ago, so at the time this was presented there was no legislation preventing mothers from life risking pregnancies, but now in 2024 the mother’s life is indeed threatened, as mothers and little girls are already dying due to lack of medical abortions (life risking pregnancy). Like in TX, for one example, as long as there’s a heartbeat the baby cannot aborted. For example, if there’s an ectopic pregnancy (where the fetus is growing outside of the uterus), it is rare but can have a heartbeat. The fetus will eventually decay but prior to that the growth can harm the mother (and kill her). Like what the pastor said at 31:16, “Because no life is worth being discarded, and every life has the chance and hope for redemption.” We cannot claim to value one life and forget the other. You cannot uphold the baby on a pedestal to help it survive only to lower the value of the mothers. Granted that could easily be reversed, but if the baby will die outside the womb, why make the mother die with it? If the mother knows the baby will be in a financially or abusive home, why would she want it there? Is it not an act of love to think what’s best for your baby, and knowing when to let it go if you can’t give it a proper life? And Id like to mention most people who get abortions (about 51%) have tried using contraceptives prior to pregnancy, which means they are already using means of being control to prevent a baby. So I would hardly say abortions are used as birth control, as it’s also an expensive fix. Women don’t want abortions like they want a new car. They want one like an animal caught in a trap ready to gnaw off its own leg. And don’t get me wrong, I think there should be limitations on abortions. Anything after 3 months is nightmarish, and even 3 months is a little pushy. But it takes one month to know you’re pregnant, and another to decide what you want to do. Most abortions are done within the first trimester, and we shouldn’t paint a horrific picture like women using them all willy nilly like nail appointments. And I hope nobody reads this with aggression, as I speak casually and calmly. But I am stating facts here too, and can offer the websites to source myself if anyone would like. There is also no specific mention of damnation for abortions as there is for drunkenness, murder, stealing, adultery, incest, and even homosexuality. I can’t tell you how many times those sins are repeated through the bible, but oddly enough abortion isn’t mentioned directly. Yes, you could say “because it falls under murder.” But why is there not even a chapter or scripture speaking on abortion? At the beginning after God brought Moses and the Egyptians out of Egypt, He very ***clearly*** makes out a set of rules about the do’s and dont’s. He even gets as detailed as (Exodus 21:18, for example) “If people quarrel and one person hits another with a stone or with their fist and the victim does not die but is confined to bed, the one who struck the blow will not be held liable if the other can get up and walk around outside with a staff. However the guilty party must pay the injured person for any loss of time and see the victim is completely healed.” And again with “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, but they are not punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.” So my point of that is being, if God goes does such DETAILED laws, why would abortion not be mentioned once? Even during the life of Jesus, abortion isn’t talked about. There is only one time it’s talked about directly, And that is Numbers 5:11-31. And it’s a curse placed upon a woman only if she’s been unfaithful. If she had been, she’d miscarry. But literally there’s not a single other scripture about abortion. In no way is it declared a sin directly, like drunkenness, lust, hatred, murder, adultery, false idols, and homosexuality. Those are very clear, very defined titles. Ones in which have backstory, warnings, and consistent referencing through the entire bible. So the bigger question comes down to did HUMANS put the depth of this “life/not life” into the topic of murder (where it is never directly correlated with murder), because lineage was such an important thing back then? The only other time it can potentially be mentioned, which is also indirect, is Exodus 21:22 “If people are fighting and hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely,” (we don’t know if the child lived or died, mind you, as the next sentence could refer to the mother just as much as the infant), “but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman’s husband demands and the court allows. But if there is serious injury, you are to take a life for a life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.” But “serious injury” is never defined. And in this case, absolutely promotes murder as well (not in the context of God being pro abortion bc i’d never put words in His mouth, but rather the context of life for life). Just some food for thought. The youngest mother in history ever recorded, is five years old. She is still alive to this day, I believe she is 92. God doesn’t promote rape either, and even as He speaks of Jerusalem as His bride He states He came back to her when she was old enough for love (after puberty, after physically maturing too). I believe God forms babies in the womb when it’s a natural consequence of humans being unable to control their urges. Not all babies are formed of something good. God gave us reproductive systems, and some people abuse them and harm others. But that’s how pregnancy works, whether consented or not, so - in my theory, as I don’t wish to put words in the Lords mouth - actions have consequences, and He formed that baby out of that negative action because it’s a natural part of our human bodies in which He made. I personally don’t think He did it as a blessing. She was five when she gave birth, which means she was only four when she conceived. Mankind taints Gods plan sometimes. Like the one prophet who went to Herod (I believe it was Herod), and warned him of two choices: he could stay in the town which would be overrun and he’d die, or he could leave and save his family. God gave him ultimatums, but the king chose to stay (and died). So God can still have good and bad choices for us, but those choices can affect those around you! God frowns upon the choice, but doesn’t stop the consequence of it, I guess. (Really bad way to say it but it’s true, I’m not anti-God so I cringe writing that as it feels negative but it’s not. He lets us face the consequences of our own actions, like David who stole the warriors wife and had her husband killed).

It started great but it went south quickly. He seemed like he might have something important to say and maybe have a new take I was willing to listen but he’s so out of touch and disregard these people and their stories. Groups up atheist like they are all the same, contradicts himself, and many other things in just 30 minutes. Manipulation at its finest. I can’t unsee these things after I finally Deconverted. After 20 years of christianity I deconstructed for probably 5 years. I’m 31 now. I have finally found real peace. If you have the christian goggles on, it’s almost impossible to see any other way, so I get it..but I’m glad I walked away.

Amen, Jesus is King 🙏🙏 We need to vote for the person that upholds the morals of Christ, but never worship them. It is true that the Lord uses vessels and I believe that God is using Donald Trump as that vessel. We as children of Christ have a duty to protect the innocence of children and sacrificing babies on the alter of convenience is definitely not Christ like. Pretty sure those things can be true at the same time. You can evangelize without insulting someone, but also firmly state that certain politicians are doing indefensible things that can only be described as evil. Any suggestion to the contrary makes one wonder how extreme a politician has to be for you to be willing to criticize them. If you took this advice to its logical conclusion, then Christians couldn’t have criticized Stalin, Mao or A.H. during their rise to power.
