That's one way to do it. I am not a huge fan of the sharp edges on the truckers.
That old triline hat is awesome
Truckers like the BF Goodrich you shaped in this video have straight sides, a sharp curve, and a flat-ish top, and the hat shaper is perfect for those hats. What about more traditional baseball caps like the OU hats you frequently wear? They don't have the same square-ish look, so how do you shape those?
I have a smaller version that I use. It gives a good shape for baseball style snapbacks.

Yea the orange or red was just made from different color. It's the same size.
@@HatHouse79 I apologize for my confusion. I have two shapers...one gray and one reddish-orange. The circumference of the gray shaper is 22.75 inches which typically corresponds to a 7 1/4 hat size (Large). The orange shaper is 20.75 inches which typically corresponds to a 6 5/8 hat size (Small to Medium). But what I'm asking about is whether a baseball hat would have a more rounded shape instead of the straight sides of these two shapers. Or do baseball caps and trucker hats both have vertical sides and flat tops?
Oh if you are talking about dad style hats and unstructured hats. I usually use a cheap .50 cent bowl you can find at Wal-Mart.

Hopefully i start it back soon thinking of some ideas.
I bought two of your hat shapers, and I'm starting to experiment with washing dirty hats. I've seen your "Grandma's" cleaning method, but I'm soaking and scrubbing the really dirty ones with Oxyclean, Dawn and a soft brush. They come out of the wash & rinse thoroughly soaked and need to be dried with a fan. What I'm less clear on is how you decide when to shape a hat 1) like a trucker (with the sharp 90-degree curve and flat top using your hat shapers) or 2) more rounded like a traditional baseball cap shape. (Dad hats are easy, of course.) Then there's flat bills, curved bills and sharply curved bills (the extreme, upside down V shape). Have you done a video showing these different shapes and when each is appropriate? If not, could you make a video like that?
That’s a great idea for a future video! If you look at my last Instagram post I talk more about using the hat shapers. Oxi works great too!

Buying Somebody else's inventory that didn't sell on the same platform, is usually a mistake. You may think you can do it better, or they had things priced too high. I've made mistakes buying 200 hats at $2, because they were dirty and just takes too much time. However, with your business plan, I understand your dilemma because you need a massive constant flow of stock coming in. You guys aren't afraid of hard word or time, so you'll make it profitable. I'd guess $2000 on your $1250 investment. Sounds like your doing fine overall, thanks for the videos.

$4 per is on the high end of my range but theres some good stuff in there. I dont particularly like New Era but the side patch stuff should make you a profit. Curious about the 1000 hat lot. Is it from a seller on Ebay? I noticed someone selling bulk quantities on there. Was curious to try them out.
What I am getting is not from ebay. I know who you are talking about. I have ordered from them in the past. Mostly under $10 hats.
I have bought from that ebay seller too, and I agree on the mostly $10 & under. But the most frustrating part was buying multiple lots from them(spending a decent amount of money) and some of them were absolute trash with greater then 50% getting thrown out. I feel like whenever I buy larger lots on ebay its almost always a disappointment getting really bad condition or undesirable leftovers.

You could depends on the patch and if it is trademarked. But you also got the embroidery left they will see on the backside.

this pay per click story explains a lot now. I had someone pay $29 for a cap and then instantly sent a screen shot of same hat different seller for $9 asking if that was my offer to them. Now I get that eBay offered that shit after they just paid me! In theory eBay lost money because my hat was more expensive. What a joke.
