Kevin Tucker is a good old Canadian boy who grew up in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. In his past life he played hockey all over this country and the U.S. He studied (allegedly) at Acadia University, and now resides in Calgary, Alberta, Canada where he currently works as an Executive in the Oil and Gas Industry. What started as a drilling company in Great Northern Drilling, the brand evolved into Apparel and ultimately ending here in a podcast format. Always taking swings folks!
Here's the deal, he LOVES connecting with people. It's what he does. So come along for a ride, and enjoy some Great Northern Discussions!

GND#25 with Caylan Ford-Former UCP Star Candidate & Founder Alberta Classical Academy
Caylan Ford was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and is the current Founder and owner/operator at her recently expanded Alberta Classical Academy. They're up to 3 locations already in Alberta in a very short amount of time.
But how she got here is a story still unfolding.
Caylan was one of the brightest up-and-coming star political candidates for the UCP, running for a spot in her riding of Calgary-Mountain View.
But a charismatic, and rather dark character would soon emerge to completely ruin her life through a series of bold moves and ridiculous accusations.

Enjoyed the discussion! Genuine and wholesome, thank you!
Fuck the elite and the pathetic bootlicking trash who support them.
Great episode and shows who you are as a person. Keep it up Tucker!
Just watching this with my mom. Dr. Kent saved my mom’s life in September 2022. When Dr. Kent said he is lucky for going into cardiac surgery, she said she is the one that is lucky. Lucky first and foremost that she had Dr. Kent and his team save her from a torn aorta but also that she and he were both in town when it happened. My mom and my family cannot thank Dr. Kent enough for all he and his team did for my mom. Such an incredibly talented, skilled and kind doctor.
Man that just gave me goosebumps! How incredibly lucky you and your Mom are indeed. I’m so happy everything worked out for you both, AND that the sentiment is mutual towards Doctor Kent. He’s an exceptional human and as you say an incredibly skilled and passionate surgeon. It means a lot to me to be able to speak to him on a platform like this to say thanks. Happy days to your Mom and hope she’s doing great! Sincerely, Tucker
@@greatnortherndiscussions thank you. Thank you for interviewing Dr. Kent. It was enlightening to get a behind the scenes about Dr. Kent and a snap shot of a “day in the life” of a cardiac surgeon. Not all heroes wear capes. Your questions were fantastic, exact information I would have wanted to know (protecting his hands). I appreciate the insight Dr. Kent gave about what could cause heart problems. Gotta stay on top of those annual check ups for cholesterol and blood pressure. Cheers, all the best!
This was a great opportunity to let the viewers know more about you and the mission of the pod. Good one and I believe this platforms are needed and important right now. Keep er rolling.
Awesome work and cool guest!
Hello!!!! Blessing
What study was her referring to?
Oh the men in hockey! So tough! So barbaric! To all of Canada's hockey men who think being a real man is chasing a 3 inch piece of rubber, try being a real man and loving and respecting your fellow man instead of thinking of ways to beat the living daylights out of anyone who violates your fragile 'manhood'.
You don"t need to be a so-called expert to now that this is not a solution come on wake the hell up, giving a grug attic more drugs or make it easyer for them to get high is the same thing as giving a alcololic a lane for them to stay drunk andaking a lane for them to dri e in WAKE UP.
Hi Dear How are you? Great. Your Content is fantastic, But your video optimization section area is not perfectly up to date. Out of 100, that's a score of 0, that's why your video is not reaching out to people and you do not have many subscribers, views, likes, watch time, and comments. I think your RUclips channel will make your dream come true. I am waiting for your response.
I'm old school, so I will build organically by putting out a good show, and see where the chips fall. Thanks for stopping by!
Totally agree that the Concillor's need to listen to their residents... that is who they represent.

John Barlow , Please carry on ! ! ( Best Regards, Jim Beck- Pincher Creek, Ab. )
He’s a good man!
everyone in canada is sleeping. the future is destroyed
Great work!
You’re so right, and I also think about those poor farmers using a resource that was made before the evolution of fungi. You probably say modern men are unlike those that were fighting nazis in the 1940s and changing the world but then blame the system when farmers can’t use electricity in 2024😭
EV's produce more carbon than a gas car
Depending on the model and mileage etc. There is a crossover point which needs to take into account a lot of variables. But yeah, EVs are nowhere near as “green” as people think and they come with their own unique set of environmental and sustainability challenges.
We had to stop using horses, they taxed horses to shit and help the change in cities. History has proven that it works. also Farmers are using horses and donkeys anymore. Change can happen.
Most people live in cities. So yeah, it is how the majority of the country could operate. Also no one is telling you to haul anything with a Prius are they? Very silly set of comments
On the off day you need to move your cattle to auction, call a logistics company to move them, you can concentrate on your farm.
Is that you offering to pay for it?
"Vast majority" proceeds to cite farmers that make up like .5% of the population.
Funny though, those 5% of the population provide 100% of the food you eat. Yeah, lets piss those people off….what a dipshit
And 100% of the food supply ☠️🤦🏻♂️
EVS pollute even more. Its a fucking scam
Yeah but we aren’t all farmers so what’s your point?
Incentivise, don’t punish.
The amount of people who seem to hold this privileged view of "No Cars/Oil" seem to neglect the logistical nightmare that their ideological extremes would cast on to our economy.
It's almost as if the farming industry should have been following trends and patterns to make the world better instead of making tractors so big they rape the land. They could have been making efficient vehicles. You're examples are unbalanced you are uneducated
“But that’s not how the world works”… Yeah that’s why there’s a tax, it’s a financial incentive for change. When the alternative is environmental collapse, it’s not a big price to pay.
Ok genius, explain what electric vehicles there are for transporting cattle across country? Then explain to me what happens when the cattle, or vegetables or grain cannot get to their destinations? And explain what powers the electricity that powers electric vehicles? You cannot incentivise this away when there isn’t a clean alternative and whilst we starve to death meeting net zero targets, China builds 2 new coal plants a week, every week on average, 52 weeks of the year. It’s over. We aren’t stopping this without technology to alter carbon levels directly in the atmosphere or alter the climate itself.
great... you can pay mine then, since you are so generous. You obviously lack the understanding of logistics and are operating on the fantasy of your ideals. Not realizing the logistics of the system you are dependent on is a glaring pinnacle of your privilege. Sit down, before you look any more ignorant.
You cannot tow with an electric pickup truck. As soon as you start towing, the range plummets. As he said, you need to tow a cattle trailer to auction as one example. The alternative technology does not exist, what does the tax achieve then?
This isn’t logical. To punish an entire nation as an “incentive” for change. You incentivize solutions on a scale like this not punishment.
This is not incentive to change, its punishment for not changing. There difference between the two is huge with the latter being tyrannical. The alternative isn’t environmental collapse either.
I live in Toronto. I like electric vehicles. And I agree it’s silly to penalize everyone just because a small number of us can utilize electric. I don’t like the tax in general. We already taxed for everything.
So what youre saying is that you are an idiot? 😂
As of 2021 81.65% of Canadians live in cities. This is how "the vast majority" of the country operates by definition. I get what this guy is saying but his statement isn't true.
So the carbon tax is only applied in domestic settings? Businesses are excluded?
Still does not change the fact most businesses will be near cities...
@@simonlabrecque9399 What?
Another great interview buddy! Keep up the good work!
Thanks pal! John is a great guy, had a blast.
Best College in Calgary for sure tbh best around
I enjoyed this. Very informative. I wish we could have some politicians like this down south. Best of luck to you and Canada 🇨🇦.
Thanks so much!
Glad I came across this. You're right we Canadians get so caught up with American politics while our own political situation is ignored and allowed to fall apart. I'm at fault too. I appreciate this pod. Thanks 🙏🏼
Agreed it’s time we paid attention to our own backyard! Thanks for listening, appreciate the feedback
Full video?
It’s coming I had some uploading issues, typically I release Tuesdays, but will be putting this up right away due to demand for it now
Wicked discussion, Guys. Especially bringing it to the idea of having productive conversations, at the end of the it’s a skill that may have the most profound impacts in our lives, at home and at work. Tucks, you’re getting better each time with each episode and was fantastic to get to know more about Hayden and his path to starting Galatea 👏
Really appreciate that Crooksy! Just trying to get better every time as you say. And will keep bringing the heat. John Barlow was a gooder!

Good one Kev! Keep it up buddy.
Thx man! I plan to!
