To be honest, it wasn't just the steroids that got Shadow sacked. It was him using cocaine and getting caught in a club using. He was using cocaine and crack cocaine for years. Most of the male gladiators were doing steroids on the show. Warrior was still using steroids for years on the show, until he got the sack for a corruption scandal.

Eunice ended up getting the red Jeep (which she had to sell because she couldn't afford the insurance), and solidified her claim on it by running across the arena and jumping on the bonnet when she won.

Are you sure Fash was the one doing commentary, because to my knowledge, he never did commentary for his version of "Gladiators". It must have been John Sachs, who was the regular commentator for British Gladiators, and was joined by Adamle for the first IG.
