i don't think i submitted my scores mainly because they weren't great but if you think submitting will benefit you go for it!

hey mal :) i'm a rising senior and i think i've started the application process somewhat late heh. but brown is my ultimate dream school, (i think for reasons similar to the ones you stated, which is cool)! i've now watched this whole video and wanted to first say you just seem like a very nice person. like i usually feel scared watching college videos, but i felt really comforted watching this :) anyways- i had a few other questions about the application process (nothing super extensive, just that one question is somewhat personal to me), so i was wondering is there anywhere i can contact you about them? it would be so so so so so helpful and i promise i'll be brief!! thank you so much :D

how did you start researching in HIGH SCHOOL? I’m struggling to find a lab my sophomore year at university?
it turns out cold emailing teachers (profs now) works better than you'd think - hope you found and lab and if not-- keep searching for yours!

It's so interesting to see how some universities accept students with essays, video essays, and such. It's based on personalities as well. In my country, you have to study, study more, get good grades, get a good result from the basic requirement test, get a good result from the field proficiency test and that's how you apply. The only thing they look at is your grades. How you grew up, what are your interests, why do you want to apply, etc. none of them really matter. That's why I've been the most boring person with no hobbies. Life is challenging. I hope I make it out of this "life isn't worth living unless I become academically successful" phase.
If you’re still in high school, you still got a chance to work hard and study in the US… I believe in you!!

I've just started highschool but i'm already getting stressed with grades and stuff, brown is my dream school and i've also been on that rabbit hole of comparing myself and i'm scared im not going to get high enough scores to get into brown, but now i feel more encouraged after watching this video, so thank you!!!!

@@maskedsinger101 you don't HAVE to but I did internships that I found interesting and felt that it helped me develop personally
I didn't really realize I wanted to even go to college till this year ! ( my junior year lol ) so I am doing a lot of catching up, and I'm probably going way over my head trying to get into and ivy league but brown just really stands out to me and might as well try and see. So thank you ! your video was very helpful and gave me some hope. :) you def deserve more subscribers !

I just know that they saw what type of person you were, and had to accept! I always hear about the model gpa students in these videos but you clearly have a lot more to offer as an individual and your essays must have been top tier!

yes, I did! Brown was my dream school and I applied with intended public health concentration but am considering neuroscience :)

I took the act 4 times and got a 33 raw and 34 super, but I took the sat once and got a 1430. Do you think it would be better to submit just the act, just the sat, or both test scores? Thanks!
