DJI Care Refresh Mavic 2 Pro Unboxing
Просмотров 6494 года назад
I crashed my almost-new Mavic into a pond and had to use my DJI Care Refresh replacement. I got a working drone back, but needless to say, it has been a journey! Sent in on 5/20/2020 and only got it back on 6/18/2020.
Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G1 vs G2 REVIEW & COMPARISON
Просмотров 25 тыс.4 года назад
Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD was a highly rated lens that received an upgrade a couple years ago with the G2 version of the same lens. While G2 is definitely more polished and perfected, the image quality is quite similar. At half the price of the G2, the G1 lens is still a great pick for those looking to get a great lens at a great price.
NIKON 24-85mm F/3.5-4.5G ED VR AF-S Review
Просмотров 26 тыс.4 года назад
NIKON 24-85mm F/3.5-4.5G ED VR AF-S is an entry-level all-around lens perfect for travel photography and is known for a good balance of performance and versatility.
Amigo en este 2024 todabia es optimo comprar inta lente tamron 24_70 2.8 en 200 dolares
I don't do much photography anymore and I think the G1 is fine. But I agree that the G2's build quality is a big deal. You mentioned the focusing noise. That could be a deal breaker for those shooting in quiet environments or for run-and-gun videographers. Right now in 2024, you're looking at $429 vs $750.
G1 is cheaper, and plenty good enough for the likes of me
iereig, good stuff. but o evaluaio f 85mm perdrmace....? - a tho his was 24-70 les. 35.85mm is very gd FL fr FF xamers, imo.
Everyone has an opinion some are totally BULLSHIT.......I have that lens and it's great, nuff said !
I kinda late to the convo, but is the g1's af noisey? I have a g1 28-75 and it's unusably loud.
Thanks for the review it really helped alot 😊❤❤
It was the kit lens for the D610. If you want a lens you won't have to upgradge for a while find the nikon 24-120 F4 or a used tamron 28-75 f2.8
Best review of both, and on this review I’ve made a bid on the G1. Thank you
Sir can i ask about the G1 this lens is good for portrait for 6dmark ii and eos r thankyou so much
I have the zoom lens and I am a little disappointed if I use it in wide angle even at sweet spot. In corners the lack of sharpness is very noticeable and the distorsion too. At 28mm my old manual AI Nikkor is far superior. It's a versatile lens but those edge problems don't give me confidence.
What about 70-200 g1 vs g2 ? Will be using it on Nikon D810
G2 hands down!
Hello, I want to know how this 24-85g vr lens performs on the Nikon D610, because beginners need a lens that is relatively easy to use and the price is not too expensive. I also considered 24-120 f/4g before, but it is too much Expensive. If the image quality of 24-85g vr is OK, I will buy it and use it with Nikon D610😊
I’m a pro photographer. The G1 is a gem. 10 years deep and never failed me!!!!
Mine exploded because i dropped it off a 200 foot bridge😭 never buying another
Curious did you use it on a mirrorless camera?...asking cause I Am thinking of buying the older lens and I have a mirrorless camera
Surprised you didn’t mention the strong pincushion / distortion at 24mm and at the further focal lengths
It's amazing, there are definitely people who don't see the distortion that some lenses generate, especially zooms.
@@mistergiovanni7183 I think it's because these people know what they're doing. I use Rawtherapy and all I have to do is enter my camera and the lenses I use and correction is applied automatically. All distortion is removed. If you use the Nikon software to develop your RAW footage it's even easier.
what's the purpose of the lens hood cause mines came with one but i don't know where it went but what's the purpose of that
i want to try the g2 and i heard it's a good 24-70 and u want to get one for my canon 80d i don't care who is out doing the other one i just want me a good 24-70 and i heard the tamron is great so i want to get one so is the lens picture quality is great
I just did a comparable yesterday with the G1 I own and G2 I borrowed to compare, image quality is the same, so I'm satisfied to keep my G1 and invest in something else I really need
I don’t currently have any lenses for these focal lengths and I can’t figure out which lens is better to buy. So you can avoid overpaying for the second generation?
4:27 My G1 hood is reversible, and snaps into position.
I use this lens a tot even though I have the 24-70. It is quite sharp.
I own the old G1 and have no problem at all turning the hood around. It sits very good to travel. No reason for me to change it to the G2.
compare on f8 ? CMON!
There other reviews out there that find the Tamron sharper than the Nikon.
Is the VR significantly better? Or just a little bit?
I didn't notice a huge difference in VR, but there was some. The new one is smoother.
The G1 hood does click into place reversed. Yours is defective.
He did say he picked it up second hand!
Ok, first of all if you want bokeh you need to get closer to the subject. That's how to get better bokeh. If you zoom in though you will see blurriness in the background. Second of all, if you want to check a lens for corner to corner sharpness you need to take a photo of a flat surface. You zoomed in on the base of the tree which is behind the focal plane so it's farther away, of course it's going to be out of focus. That's called bokeh. GET IT?
Correct - it was an apples to apples comparison though, the G1 has more bokeh and more overall blur than G2, but very marginal.
At 24mm if you got closer to your focal point you'd get more background blur. 3.5 is pretty good for not missing focus but still getting background blur. It's good enough lol.
Definitely "good enough."
This for the price is an excellent lens.. works on DX and Fx
So your main reason on keeping the G2 is the lens hood clicking on backwards and that justifies the price difference...
Not at all - I found that the focus is faster and sharper and the build is more solid with the G2.
Spent a whole day with this lens taking landscape shots ,pretty good in my opinion
Cool! I just bought one.
Thanks Anton. But isn’t 24-70 like 3-4x the price??????
Excellent review Anton --- bw
great review bro, I'm currently thinking about buying 1 or the other
Personally I like this lens a lot. It has short comings, but the size, weight, and zoom range make it my general use lens. If I'm going to shoot something specific, then I'll pick a better lens for that specific use/event, but I like the 24-85 for everyday catch something.
Hi do u have sample video of that ?
Thank you for a very helpful review. I own the G1 version, and absolutely love it, and would have no wish to change it, particularly given your comparison. Unfortunately, the G1 version doesn't work with the Nikon Z FTZ adapter. There's not even a firmware update option from the Tamron Service Centre like one of their other G1 (15-30 f/2.8) lenses that I also own. So unfortunately it looks like I'll be selling it and buying a used G2 version.
Tamron service center told me that such problems are only on Nikons. The autofocus on mirrorless systems works on Canon R's series
Thanks or sharing...I also have the Tamron 24-70mm D1 and I'm happy with it on my Nikon D750... I don't think the exta money is worth it! :)h
is that fit to my nikon z50?
If you have the ftz mount and updated the firmware. I have the z6.
Don't waist your money by buying the G2 .. in term of quality there is no difference at all .. concerning the price there is huge difference .. oh yes, G2 looks a bit female than the G1 which looks a strong male .. that's all .. lol
thanks, you just saved me a lot of money.
@@MuhammadIbrahim-fq8ho really?
lens "looks a bit female"?? what? ffs what happened with nowadays people
Would also be interesting, on which kind of camera you tested the Lenses, there is definitely a difference in optical Performance, if you use a Camera with a 16mp Sensor then a Camera with a 45mp Sensor. Or a camera with a Full Frame sonsor then a Camera with Cropped Sensor. - I Tested the Tamron 24-70 2.8 AF without own motor against the Tamron 24-70 2.8 g1 On a Nikon d7000 and a Nikon d850. - On the Nikon d7000 with 16mp there was absolute no difference. on the Nikon d850 with 45mp it was like Night and Day ..
Nikon D850
Great review!! I was looking for this comparison. Thx!
thanks you
Hi, great video, I have a quick question though. It the g1 just known as the Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 because I cant find anyone on ebay with g1 in its name.
Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 is G1, it generally doesn't have G1 in the name :)
That's weird, the hood on my g1 definitely clips on backwards securely
yep mine too!
Same
Good review, thanks! I purchased a brand new Canon 5Ds in November 2020 and I'm looking for a stabilized lens that is sharper than my version I 24-105 f/4L and after watching this I may pick up the Tamron g1 because they are half the price of the g2 on eBay.
hello, did you buy the G1, I want to know how is the performance.
Good Review
I just want to buy a nice lens with a fast auto focus and have vc and my pictures come out beautiful
Don’t buy new lenses.
Why? I bought a brand new G2, and I'm very happy with it.
in todays world, I dont trust buying used from strangers....too many scammers..no waranty either..
If no one bought new lenses then used lenses wouldn't exist.
@@50mmnikonainikkor55Well said
Great review. Thanks! Just bid on a used D750 that comes with the G1 lens and wanted to make sure I was right about the value of the lens as I decide what I’m willing to pay for the two together.
Nothing wrong with G1, especially if you're just getting it with a camera.
wtf yes you can.. i literally have the hood lens on the g1 on reverse all the time
Alexis Velez No need to be rude, first of all. Second, yes, you can place it in the reverse direction, but it does not snap in place, according to Tamron’s own documentation is wasn’t designed for that use. 🤷🏼♂️
@@Antonpug Mine does snap into place. Did you place it the same angle but backwards? The top and bottom petal of the hood should be on the side when you snap it.
@@Antonpug Sitting her with my lens hood reversed and snapped into place like all my other Tamron and Canon lenses, so...................
