Yes it is a 48 hole. I have since taken them off the wheel as I find it easier to play as a single moothie. I like the tone of the hohners for most of the tunes that I play. Some on echo's and some sextets.

My first one cost about $15 in 1961. The new one, bought this year, cost about $700. a bit of inflation, perhaps? But the new one, being a 48-hole one, is an upgrade. Have you tried the East Top tremolo from China? Not bad, actually. A different sound, to be sure but still pleasing. The notes at the low end are different from those on the Hohner so some songs are easier to play in the lower octave. Danny Boy, for instance. As well, East Top makes an E harmonica, which I don't believe Hohner offers.@@tremoloharmonicadavewoodco1495

Thanks Douglas. I normally prefer the tone on my Hohners but thought that this sounded better on a Seydel.

Is that a Euro tuned tremolo or an Asian tuned one?

@@douglashalliday8235 Hi Douglas, It is asian tuned as are all Seydel tremolo's. I mostly play Hohners which are Richter tuned but I re-tune them to asian tuning as I don't like the richter tuning but do like the tone of the Hohners.

Thanks for the info David. I played Hohner tremolos when I was a kid in Scotland. That was what we did! I never liked the Richter tunes end where, much like the blues harps, the notes were ‘missing’. I play mainly chromatic now but I have one Asian tuned harmonica and also a nice pair of solo tuned Huang models in C and C” which I bought at a SPAH many years ago when Cham Ber Huang was still around. I never did catch on to that ‘stacked’ way of playing though. However, it’s all great fun and harmonicas are terrific instruments. Enjoy.

Thanks Lumira, I am glad you like it. I listened to some of your music on the double flute. Very nice music. We had a man stayed with us a few weeks ago, Radim Zenkyl. He also played the double flute beautifully.

@@tremoloharmonicadavewoodco1495 the double flute is a wonderful instrument, but I wanted something smaller to carry with me always, so I chose to start learning the harmonica. Once I get my skydiver tremolo I will be listening to your videos and try to learn the songs you share. Thank you! 🙏🏻✨
