The author really has trapped himself by staying that our 14 year old protagonist who's been acting for just 3 months ends up with Ais. It's like telling us a character dies in the end...it removes the interest in said character. By knowing that it's Ais in the end, we can't become invested in other relationships. Additionally, and I've read all the parallel LNs so I'm well-versed, Ais is the least interesting female characters. Harahime, Little Bit, and of course Ryuu are more interesting characters (yes, I'm team Ryuu). But as a 14 year old I can see his mega-crush on Ais. But that crush shouldn't last, not after his experiences with others. Bc I know it's Ais. I'm basically checking out of the story now. Never reveal the ending....if you are that invested with an outcome as an author, be smart and bury the finally chapter in your online vault but don't talk about it.
