I applied the underglaze on bisque ware and let it dry first before applying glaze then glaze with clear then fire.

Implode might be not possible. Collapsing inward maybe…because of lacking structure support. Same concept as a house that needs support from the inside. Clay needs breathing space, 1/2 inch is ideal for drying time and to prevent moisture from water heating up w/c cause explosion. Slow drying, cover with plastic, compressed well and coil attachments for connections. When in doubt cut and thin out the inside. Happy sculpting, it’s always a discovery. No glaze at the bottom it will stick on shelf and will ruin it. I leave it unglazed. Glass is ok as long as it will stay in the middle and protect the kiln shelf by using a patty try in case it spilled over. Test first before using on final piece.

The bottom I used underglaze or stains bec they do not fuse on the kiln.
