Why u dont use the calculation object surface to limit the lighting stimulation
Thanks for your question! I could do that without any problems, but I did not consider to add the object surface in this case.
Hi Sir. What is the meaning of " In/out ramps ( at night ) " ?
Thanks for your question. The In/out ramps means the enter and exist zones of an indoor parking. From where the car goes in or out. Hope that now is clear.

Thanks for your comment!
Thank you. In different way, why u dont increase the wattage of the lumanaires to achieve the 500 lux level
Thanks for your comment. If you increase the wattage of the luminaire you are reducing the uniformity and you don't want to do that. You need to find the proper balance between lumen output, distribution curve of the luminaire, number of luminaries for that space and achieve a uniformity as high as possible.
thank you 🌹
You're welcome 😊
Nice
Thanks mate!
Very Nice thanks
Most welcome!
how is it that the uniformity is less than 0.40 and the result is positive?
Hi @peturkristev3845, you are right the results should be negative, due to lower uniformity. I believe that it a software error. Thanks for your comment.
@@catalindesigner Hi Catalin, at least you can rewrite it to 0 and then the result is positive. But its not legal.
@@Nopublicname thanks for your comment, but to rewrite to 0 is not the right solution

Hi, yeah sure I can send you the outcome of this project, just send me your mail address.
Is dialux still being used for lighting design, or are there any other advanced softwares
Yes, Dialux is still used as a software for lighting design. Of course in the market are existing other softwares as AGI32 or Redux which can be used for lighting design.

Hello Respected Sir, I am working on a project at our hospital which includes shifting of pole solar lights to pole flood lights because of poor lighting and performance of these solar ligths. Sir, we have the boundary wall around the hospital buildings which lengths 531meter south wall, 440meter northside boudary wall and approximately 220 meter each each and west boudary walls. We have 62 poles already installed for solar lights what i am going to do is to replace solar lights with phillips 100w flood lights to improve serveillance and security of the hospital boundary wall and i do not have any site plans to import into dialux evo 12.1. Please suggest me for having proper working on this project at dialux. Bundle of thanks
Hi, as mentioned in my previous comment. You can adjust the lumen output of the old luminaire with the new value of the new lamp to you are planning to use. In this way you are able to get a correct light simulation. I will try to make a video to show how you can do that. Kind regards, Catalin
Hi, you have to measure the distance between two poles and the total area that you have to make the lighting calculation. it will be easier ion you can add this measurements in auto cad and then generate a dwg file which you could import into Dialux

Thanks for your message. It should be possible to change the power output from the old luminaire to the new one. However to have a proper lighting calculation in Dialux, you need to use the IES or LDT file of the old luminaire and just change the power or lumen output to the new lamp. In this case 100 W Philips lamp. Hope that this information will help you.
Thanks sir
Thanks for your message! Hope the other videos will help you as well!
Is there any method to add non member ies files without paying subscription
Hi, unfortunately I can not provide you an answer. The best way is to address this question directly to Dialux support.
use the "calculate without furniture" button for hidden surfaces. It is to the left of the emergency groups
Hi Bjorn, thanks for your input!
Why target not appear in the results for calculation surface?
Thanks for the question. Usually you setup the target of lux level based on the application|space that is defined in standards and as well in Dialux. The surface calculation is giving you an exact value for a specific area defined by you, compared with the overall lux level as you can see in this video from minute 15"52. Hope that everything is clear now.
Good Day, the Create Template feature is not available in dialux evo 12.1 or 12. Do you have an idea how to find it ?

Hi, I made the following video, where you can see how to create your own space in Dialux evo. Hope that it is helping u. ruclips.net/video/tL63J8kIKSo/видео.html
I have a question : If i have a multi story building, if i want to place downlights/cans on the landing of each half story (if that makes sense). How do i place the luminaire on the story above (due to the story heights) and still have the light output being shown in my calculation results for the floor below? Does that make sense? I hope so 😅😂
Hi, thanks for your question. From my point of view you have 2 options how you can deal with this situation. First option is to add calculation surface on each level, and then you can see the value of light output. Second option is to design separately the staircase for the entire building and find out the light output. Hope that this information will help you. Kind regards, Catalin
It’s incorrect calculation, becouse lumen outup on emergency mode will not be 100% of regular mode . Thanks
thanks for your comment. Please check the emergency luminaire properties at the minut 1:02 of the video to see the light output. with the LED technology things got better.
share cad drawing for practice
Unfortunately, I can not share the CAD file.
Sir, is it possible to get work from Home in dialux evo??
Hi, I am doing just examples of lighting projects in Dialux
thank you sir
Most welcome
Maan, dont feel that I hating you, really not in bad , just simple my good advice - this emergency lighting simulation is wrong as it is possible - the escape route (the side corridor/stairs are part of the escape route too, minimum on the left side because of the upper door opening and the antipanic area where the seats are, where is?- I know that the simulation will without the seats, just the whole area, but it shall be approved too)...I really hope that this is not final version (measurement area/route placement) of the simulation - and really not in bad, peace
thanks Man for your comment. I apreciate you time in checking the video. As you can see in the video I took the antipanic, a flat area as an example how you can define it and not for implementation. If this project had to be implemented then you need to do the correct setup of height for each row of sets. In the case of escape routes, you just need to add the escape signs above the two doors, knowing that the antipanic lighting system will provide a higher light level than the one requested for escape routes.
Can you explain me what´s the reason of dual emergencey route next to each other? (I think its so wrong) - and real measurement for emergency lighting will not start directly from the wall ...
thanks for you comment. As you said already mentioned is not point of having for one room dual emergency-at least for a small office space, for a big open office the situation can be different. This video is about how you can define the emergency lighting. Also the general lighting will not start directly from the wall, only if you edit manually the distance. Hope that now everything is clear.
Hi catalin, thank you so much !
You are so welcome!
Hi, you have used 60x60 panel lights- I haven't noticed if you have placed false ceiling? You have to have false ceiling when you are using 60x60 panel, am I wright?
Thanks for your comment. Most of lighting manufacturers are providing different installation options for 60x60 lighting fixture. Even the 60x60 is common recessed used in a false ceiling, you can install the same luminare surface or suspend mounted.
Thank you
Thats a conventional design, you waste more energy. The best solution its a qualitative design especially in oppen plan offices. You just focus the light where you reaaly need it eg the table en meeting room in the video and verify if you get 500 lx there not in the hole room
Thanks for your comment. Appreciate your feedback. Related to your lighting it’s an Yes and No in the same time :). For new offices you can proposal free standing luminaries, but still you need additional luminaries for the background and surrounding areas. With a local lighting you will not be able to cover all the need for a modern office. My second point related to conventional lighting design. You need to consider that many office building have been equipped with 6x6 and 3x12 luminaries with fluorescent lamps. In these office buildings few investors will go with a total new layout of the ceiling. So the easy and fast way also from electrical circuits its a one to one replacement. From old to new LED luminaries.

that was sooo beneficial for me ..thanks..
Thanks of your feedback. Happy to help :)
Hello Sir. Great video! I had one question though, why did you not consider the furniture and also ignore the first reflection. Aren't both of these necessary for accurate results?
Hello, I did not mentioned about the furniture and refection because the main target was the lux level for emergency lighting to be achieved. However once you place the furniture into one space when you run the lighting calculation, the software takes into account the furniture placed in that space. I would do a video where I can explain and show the difference of illuminance with furniture and without furniture. Hope that I answer to your question. Thanks for your comment. BR, Catalin
@@catalindesigner Still a bit confused, Shouldn't we have the option "calculate without furniture" off when calculating emergency lighting levels of a space with furniture in it in order to get the accurate lux level results? Appreciate your time and response.
@@arishsiddiqui3292 It will be great to have this feature in this software, let say as default: excluding or including the furniture for lighting calculation. Unfortunately for time being this option doesn't exist in the software. My opinion is that this option docent exist as usually all the rooms are being equipped with furniture, therefore the lighting calculation is done based on a realistic scenario.
@@catalindesigner Thanks Catalin, appreciate your reply.
