Chartwell Hospital is an independent Diagnostic and Imaging Centre based in Leigh-on-Sea in Essex. We provide diagnostic and day stay services including consultations, minor day case surgery, investigations, scans and x-rays for adult patients which are unrivalled in the local area.
We welcome both private and NHS referrals from GPs and other Allied Health Professionals. We are a recognised NHS Treatment Centre and receive NHS referrals for our services.
Our aim is to offer patients accessible, efficient care of the highest quality throughout their journey at Chartwell Hospital.

When l have had sedation l have not been aware of anything happening. Absolutely fast asleep. Couldn’t imagine doing it any other way.
I have a couple months before my 50th birthday, and since I asked my doctor if there was an alternative to colonoscopies and she said that was still the gold standard and she thinks I should still have it done, I'm already dreading that thing! I appreciate the encouraging words, I'm trying to get mentally prepared even now. I've never had surgery, never been put under anesthetic, or even had an iv, which I imagine adds to my apprehension.
First ive heard u have to take it 2 days before .In 22 years of scopes I have only taken it the day before , but saying that every single hospital has a different system , so what is the definitive correct way .U tell me cos Im baffled
