the rowhouses look pretty neat, but i don't like the flats.... they look dull and boring, towers in the park

Ich möchte die Schweizer ermuntern in der schönen Natur in Zukunft auch schöne Kapellen zu bauen. Dieses Gebäude erinnert außen an ein modernes Trafohäuschen. Innen erinnert einen das an eine schnöde Werkhalle. Christliches sieht man nirgends. Nur ein winziges, verschämtes Kreuzlein soll die Auftraggeber besänftigen. Die Innenarchitektur zerstreut die Gedanken mit ihren senkrechten Holzbalken. Eine Kirche oder Kapelle sollte aber die Gedanken nicht zerstreuen, sondern auf das Wesentliche konzentrieren. Ein öder Architektenfurz, der dem Planer ein Denkmal setzen soll. Jedem Christen dreht sich der Magen um, wenn er den Luthertisch sieht. Bitte konzentrieren Sie sich in Zukunft auf die Planung von Trafohäuschen und Mülltonnen-Boxen.

Oh I love your reading of this work so much! Concise, yet suggesting, especially the music scored evocative somehow of the South... When I were much younger, I used to overlook such "ordinary" building types hardly "rhetoric", and it is here and now through your lens that for the first time I come to see: Ah, that's it! To make a soft as silk, daily-poetic backdrop at the corner of the crossing, the architect evened the fenestration, which surely is reflects on the plan. Mediating the inside until the outside reaches a refined simplicity, that's his taste and finesse.

Overpriced by 100 %. Somehow, in the 21st century, the "perfectionist" Germans (as the cliché goes) didn't realize that the same area hat static problems in the 1830's so it could have them also now... "The most expensive museum wardrobe in the world", some nicknamed it. I wouldn't mind so much if the stone that was used would blend with the surrounding architecture to which it clearly refers. Warm, yellowish limestone. But no, it's cold, white, it draws the attention to itself instead of elevating the much more important buildings around.

Gorgeous form and use of the building was unique, knowing the interior use gave the exterior a new persoective of possibly a snow castle for snowboarders rather than a bleached cube.

I visited Christmas 2019. I know it's Chipperfield, but I found the building to be overly cold and not sitting well adjacent to the existing structure, particularly at the arcade. The open colonnade on the left is just dead space to nowhere. I was really surprised as the main Neues Museum update by Chipperfield is such a success. Keep up the good work with these! Hope the channel really takes off soon.
