Great sound! How did you manage to replace the stock pick up bar with the Lundgrens? Is there a base plate underneath the bar, so you could mount the lundgrens onto it?

Looking at possibly getting this guitar or the Harley to dive into 7 strings and fan frets. Kept seeing that this guitar was a roll of the dice. Might get a good one and might get a bad one with issues. Any issues with yours?

Can you mix in all 8 channels with virtual vsts? I heard someone that only 5 channels lets you use Vsts the other three is with real preamps to mix

^Sounds sick, man. Well done. Tastefully written, not too long (a common problem I have with a lot of songs from this genre). Just great riffs, and a well done drum track, too. I also have the Coliseum 5-string bass and the SubZero 7-string. I like them very much. I now plan to buy the 8-string, too! These all look great and have a sick feature set for their price! I had been warned about QC issues, when I bought my 2 a few years ago. But I had fairly luck. When I came with the Coliseum to the band rehearsal, my bandmates were deeply impressed, and totally surprised when I told them, how affordable this is! As an explanation: My previously most used bass was a 4-string boutique bass from the 90s (Bogart), that blows the socks off most basses out there. As of pickups .. I normally use the stock pickups in my guitars, but now I want to swap around a bit. I have some 7-string Jacksons lying around, that I really like (the Misha Mansoor style ones). These will go into my Harley Benton, and the pickups of the Harley Benton are actually 8-string pickups, and I like their sound really big time. These will go into the G4M. Kind of ghetto upgrading is fun. The only other upgrade I normally use, is swapping for better tuners and - most important - a proper setup (if necessary, fret job). But so far, I am impressed with both brands, Harley Benton, and the house brands of g4m. Awesome value for the money.

Thanks for uploading that intro. Stifled is in my top 5 tracks, so when I head that loop live last December, it was the perfect beginning for a perfect show.

Great video! I bought the 8 string version of this guitar, and whilst it feels great to play, the stock pickups really are dreadful. Definitely gonna switch 'em out in future! What are your thoughts on the 7 string version?

Really like the riffing, but was also interested to see another Sub Zero out there, and sounding pretty good! - I bought one a few years ago, and I don't know whether I got an early one, but it took quite a lot of effort to make it playable. I did a review of this and some other entry level 7-strings, somewhere on RUclips, but mine came with some flaws in the finish, terrible stock pickups, and some neck and fret issues. I replaced the bridge pickup with an Aluma Deathbar, a somewhat novel design from California, but the design works well with fanfrets, and it improved both the sound and removed a lot of the electrical hum I was getting from the stock pickups. The bigger issue was trying to get decent action without fret buzz.... the guitar went to a couple of "guitar techs" who both failed to make it playable, but finally I found a decent guy (who taught me a lot in the process) and showed me that no matter what you did with the truss rod, the frets were never actually level. He managed to level the frets, and re-finish them, and adjust the truss rod, and finally make it playable. I also had issues with both tuning, and tuning stability with mine, and replaced the stock tuners with Gotoh ones, which improved matters considerably. What started as a $350 guitar ended up as a $1,000 dollar guitar by the time I was done. Having said this, I know that some of the more budget guitars are more variable in terms of quality - I've had some very positive experiences with Harley Benton, but have also seen other people have issues with them. Did you do anything other than replace the pickups on yours? - certainly seems to sound and play ok from what I could see in the video - thanks for sharing!
