    interesting that you ARE TALKING ABOUT THE SABBATH. GREAT SUBJECT But according to the bible the Sabbath is on the seventh day of the week and not win the first look at the Jews, They have carried the knowledge of the sabbath from Adam to Noah, to Abraham and the 12 tribes all the way to the Tim,e of Jesus. The romans gave names to the days of the week. The first day they called Sunday (in the honour of the Sun God) and so on So the real sabbath from creation in on Saturday....

American church builders need a lesson or two from the old world. Otherwise, nice to hear Mr. Welch play some classics.

    Verse 16 seems to follow suit with Rom14:14 and 1 Cor8. But Revelation illustrates those teachings as condemnable practices. So the point of Paul addressing false teachers is quite a projection.

    37:52 “You don’t have to apologize for me.” No, but you should apologize if you don’t understand the word and are mis-teaching it. We CAN understand God here. Paul is being sarcastic, turning the bad Jewish doctrine of election back around on its head to show how dumb and evil it is.

  • @TheRomans9Guy
    @TheRomans9Guy 9 месяцев назад

    36:07 this is the point where we start to diverge from Paul’s argument in a bad way. It hadn’t been clear up until this point that we were really understanding his message in the first place. But now we can tell we weren’t understanding again. Paul is not teaching that God likes only some people and then is explaining how God does that choosing. Paul’s argument is that God does not leave anyone out of his election. Paul grew up in the Jewish world that taught and believed for centuries that God only loved and chose some people, the Jews. But they were very wrong. God did not hate and outcast the gentiles. It had been revealed through Jesus that God does love the gentiles also and they are also invited to his kingdom. Here in Romans nine, Paul is, correcting all of the bad Jewish theology by taking its teachings and extrapolating them out to their fullest extent to show how dumb they are. But his point is that God chooses everyone.

  • @TheRomans9Guy
    @TheRomans9Guy 9 месяцев назад

    4:51 But all of this background about the Jews leaving Rome and coming back is useless for chapter 9 because Paul isn’t concerned with any of that here.

    This is a very literal interpretation of the Jesus's story. Judas represents everything taking you away from God and Jesus represents your higher self. Judas was a worldly man who would betray his higher self, his salvation for silver. And what is silver (money and physical things) compared to salvation? Your Higher Self (Jesus) will always invite you back to a Godly life because just because you're a sinner (Judas) , you're not barred from salvation. Sin is always betraying yourself. You have to become your own Christ. And you shouldn't keep bad company and people that make you miserable or would hurt you and using the Bible to try and make an abusive relationship acceptable is ridiculous. Tell them to get out and pray for them after.

    • @LaJollaPres
      @LaJollaPres 10 месяцев назад

      We like your insight but I would take it a step further. Jesus consistently kept Judas and Peter around him. What Paul is saying here is, am I going to deny the power of forgiveness and redemption by keeping someone away from the table. If Jesus can bring the criminal on the cross to paradise, welcome the sinners in, and sit with Judas... Then we should be able to provide a seat for our enemy. This is not a literal table for us however, this is figurative language, not like the real table Jesus sat at

    Evolutionary biology is not harmed or even affected by apologetics, or youtube debates. THAT'S NOT HOW SCIENCE WORKS. If you have something to say about your imaginary friend, bring the concept up to the base level of science and submit it to a peer reviewed scientific journal for consideration. If that level of specificity and quality frightens you as it has for theists fairly always then you DO NOT OFFER ANYTHING OF VALUE. In basic terms, your nonsense doesn't measure up to even a basic bullshit test, and the raw ignorance it takes to elevate that to a status where you think it's on par with one of the most well understood theories with direct support from entire fields of science shows an ego out of control.

    Dawinian evolution was developed to refute the idea of a God who created. It says that everything sprang into being without any involvement of a god. Genesis tells us that God "created each according to its kind." We didn't all evolve from a primordial soup. God programmed into each kind variability. So we have hundreds of kinds of dogs. But they are all dogs. Horses are a different kind. They didn't evolve from dogs and dogs didn't evolve from horses. Theistic evolution is an oxymoron designed as a compromise to sound scientific while going along with a story about life being generated over a period of millions of years. But God’s Word says that he created everything during a 6 day period. It tells us that Noah took a certain number of each kind with him on the ark and that from them the earth was repopulated. All the different types of land animals we see today were generated from those who were on the ark. So variation is a real process, but it is not evolution. It is a result of the gene set that the animal received from its parents. Most genetic modifications are not improving life. Instead we live in a time of degeneration. James Tour is a world class chemist, who loves to point out that life cannot be spontaneously generated from non-life. Without life being generated spontaneously, you can't get the basic building blocks from which various forms of life are supposed to evolve. In the end, evolution is not a scientific teaching. Rather it is a false religious belief. So your kids need to learn about its claims and why they are wrong.

    • @joshstevens2779

      That's not what evolution says. Evolution was developed to explain variation among organisms. Darwin saw finches with different beaks adapted to their preferred food source.

      @joshstevens2779 Darwin's book was called "The origin of the Species." It claimed that life could go from non life, not just minor variations. In short, it was going to transition from goo to you by way of the zoo.

      @joshstevens2779 Год назад

      @@roblangsdorf8758not even close dude. It's called "the origin of species", not "the species" and it's about variations building up over time. Primordial soup is a much later theory. I can tell you haven't read it, don't embarrass yourself.

      In any case, Lyell's stated reason for developing geology's long ages was to provide all the time needed to produce life without a creator. Darwin started out as a geologist. But we remember him because of his big stories about how evolution produced all it claims to have done.

    • @joshstevens2779
      @joshstevens2779 Год назад

      @@roblangsdorf8758 that would be interesting if it had any truth to back it up. Lyell rejected Lamarckian evolution in the first nine editions of his Principles of Geology and he believed the fossil record showed no progression, only extinctions. He was more interested in how the surface of the planet changes over time. He didn't accept evolution as even a possibility until Darwin published Origin, and even then he wasn't so convinced. You seem to be under the impression that these scientists operated with an agenda to support some foregone conclusion. Considering that's precisely how creationists operate, it's a bit ironic.

  • @anti-christ.666

    Evolution is a scientific theory just like gravity is a scientific theory. There is no category of scientific facts. In order for an idea to become a scientific theory it must have unequivocal evidence to support it. It also must be observable and repeatable. You can disagree with some of the transitional species that science may suggest but but the proccess of evolutionis is as close to fact as any theory could be.

    The college you went to was important until America became woke. But now, many colleges and universities have become dumbed down to be culturally correct. Professors can no longer give the grades they should, so the grades have become meaningless. Employers can no longer count on the degree to tell them anything meaningful. The quality of character that is built into a child in the home is far more important than the school that he or she attended.
